My, my, why are people so cruel, my brother suffered with dyslexic and the school ridiculed him called him thick and stupid, he was very strong and proved them wrong that was back in the 60's. Even now, they are those who often have to be nit-picking moaning cos that's their way of getting a response. @@MamaTracy Crystal could do a better job at explaining. I have no idea. I buy worsted or bulky. Occasionally I will get DK if worsted is sold out. I only crochet hats and scarves. I would assume "sock weight" is for making socks. I've never used it.

​@@MamaTracyHere's a list you can jot down 😊 Size #1=Lace weight, #2=Sport weight(most "baby" yarn is sport weight to make baby clothes), #3=DK Double Knit. Usually preferred for garments as it drapes nice. #4=Worsted or Aran. Most frequently used weight. Great for heavier garments, beanies, scarves & afghans. #5=Bulky/Chunky. Great for heavier scarves, beanies, sweaters, rugs & throws. #6=Super Bulky. Same uses as #5. #7 =Jumbo. Used for big stitch projects or for arm crochet/knitting. I hope this helps you. 😊

Hi Crystal, met someone on the bus, that had bought yarn at JoAnns, good sales there too. We got to talking while waiting for our connecting bus. She learned to crochet on KZbin. She was buying more yarn to finish a cardigan she was making. I got to see a photo of a sweater she crochet. I told her about your channel, gave her the name and your name. She was impressed that you hit 1 million subscribers. She also was going crazy over my hat and cowl I was wearing. She tried to knit but found it was too slow for her. Waiting for my Speckled Hen yarn to make the matching hat. Wow love that yarn, the colors are beautiful. I love bright colors, and hand dyed. You can pass them through the screen please lol. The multi blue and purple are to die for, and would look great paired together.

Crystal, I had trouble speaking when small. I had elocution lessons. Which involved poetry. I still break some words up in 3’s and work out that way. You’re great, we understand everything you say. Your true fans (online friends) love you just as you are. ❤ I love when you love yarn. I get excited. lol I hand write a thank you on my invoices when I sell stuff on eBay. With a purple pen. (My fave color) I also stamp them with a bird (made by an Etsy seller) and use a red pen to put a little color to make the “red breast” cuz my name is Robin. I also use recycled paper so I tell them that as well on the invoice, so they aren’t like “what the heck is this on the other side?” I fold my invoices in half and tape them with a tiny piece of tape so they don’t have to read the “whatever” on the back of the recycled paper lol I’m not wasting paper. Sorry! I have sooooo much scrap paper I can print my labels and invoices for years. (Hubs brings his scrap paper home from work if it doesn’t have people’s info on it) I do like to see a hand printed thank you also. To me that says the seller is a nice person.

OMG, that yarn is GORGEOUS!! Especially that Green!! Bonbon is amazing..one of my favorite colors!! I'm sure the fragrance is whatever wool wash they use. Definitely having some FOMO here, but I promised myself I'm gonna work with stash. 😉😂 So many yarns, so little time! Love when yarn companies have swatches made up, the only company I know that does that regularly is Arcane Fibres. I don't know if you've ever checked Tyler out, he even puts out videos on his dyeing & how he comes up with inspirations. I knit & use fingering a lot!! I had to do a project in worsted, it felt weird!! 😂🤣

I'm 74 now, so probably learn to crochet from my maternal grandmother 60 plus years ago. I've never worked with wool. So I've never bought a hank of yarn. I have a remembrance from childhood of a itchy wool sweater. Also, horror stories in the past of shrinking and felting. And I'm a little worried that someone would accidentally ruin something by throwing it in the dryer. But every time you show these beautiful yarns I am so tempted to try.

@@estherscrochetnook2318 I used to shy away from wool, too, for the reasons you mentioned! But I've used Bad Sheep Yarn for a few years now, and it is not itchy to my super-sensitive skin. The superwash wool does stretch a bit when you're blocking if you aren't careful. But I concur with everything that was said on this video about the yarn, the customer service, the fabulous designer/owner - I can't say enough good things about BSY!

Good morning Crystal from Calgary Alberta Canada. All of those colors and combinations are gorgeous. They have so many options on their yarn. I have been crocheting for almost 50 yrs. I'm 63 and newly on medical retirement. I only found you a month or so ago and you have taught me so much more than the basic afghans that I've stuck to. Now im shopping different yarns and wating for my scheepjies cakes to make your shawl. im also getting into amigurumi. You're right, anyone can make anything with a few basic stitches. I have several issues that keep me home. Sorry so long, but i wanted to tell you, you have given me a reason to wake every morning with all my wips going on.
