I don't remember where I learned this, but when I do a magic circle with chenille yarn, I just use regular yarn for the circle. Make a double loop with regular yarn, put your chenille stitches into it, then pull the ends and tie together. Always works great, never shows once it's tied up and is super easy to do. You can work over the end of the chenille yarn in the next round if you're worried about it coming undone.

WHY DID I NEVER THINK ABOUT DOING THE MAGIC RING SMALLER🤣 Makes so much sense, and less rage😂

This is what I do with bulkier Chantelle yarn all the time. Regardless of how loose I make my stitches it still will not tighten.

I learned a lot from your video, I like the eye popper white yarn trick! I have been using the face shaper trick with the long tail from my magic ring. I always like to add a few extra inches of tail starting off so that I can give their faces better 3D looks, instead of looking like they are made around a ball. A tug or 2 for the noses, around the eyes and sometimes I give them dimples if there's room. Thanks for sharing your tips and tricks, please continue to share more!!

Thank you for sharing your tips. I have the glitter eyes, but I've never tried to you them. I'm making all my grandkids plushies for Christmas. Your tps will come in handy. I'm struggling with the claws on a baby sloth right now. I just finished a puppy. Thanks again. 😊

Do you do your yarn under first for every stitch, including bobbles, slip stitches and special stitches or just on the single crochet? And do you also yarn under to do the magic ring? Thank you your videos are very helpful.

Great video! I like the tip of adding just a little detail to the plain safety eyes. I also really like those glitter eyes you used! So cute! Side by side with your pigeon was a great idea. It sure is the little things that matter! Thank you!

For the longest time I did yarn under for all my stitches because I didn’t know the difference! I only did it for the first one like you showed here. So I guess when I started amigurumi I was doing something right without even knowing!

Too funny, I thought I was YOYO this whole time... Ive even stopped a few times to really watch, and thought something seemed off... but im so new to crochet, I figured I just didnt know what it was meant to properly look like. turns out I've been YUYO since the beginning 😂

Hi Annie. I loved this video. It’s amazing how much that tiny bit of white around the eye makes it look so much better. Have to go back and do that on some plushies. I struggle the most with the magic ring with chenille yarn. I’m pretty sure it’s because I crochet tightly. I will practice with some ugly Bernat blanket yarn I have laying around.
