+Rusty “rustyglovebox” Glovebox Thanks, I bet if we lived next door to each other we would be building some crazy stuff.

Amazing that they just keep on running even with that valve guide wear.

1679 souds good, see i was allways told that about 1835s done on 1600 cases that had overheat problems, an that the 1776 was the more bullet proof of the build up, but thasts just what i been told thru my times
@TheEZGZ8 жыл бұрын
+Rodder Files Thats what I was taught too. If you use ALL the stock cooling tin and don't run the beejeesus out of it all the time you can get a little more life out of it. 1835 will make more power but not for very long.

I have a bad exaust valve guide my machinist said he could use tempered steel valve guides but there is a chance that it could get stuck up and break the valves i cant find any copper valve guides in my country

The guides are a bronze alloy. Bummer

Wow thats a lot of guide clearance.lol Was the rocker geometry off some.

+scottsinfl Everything was stock with no shims and the difference of .100 . I think they were cheap heads and someone beat the snot out of this car and did not do any maint or oil changes. The cooling system was not stock as well. I will give it some love $$$$$ and see what happens

Hi. Thanks for your video. Can you help me with an 4 stroke engine, please?? It got 2 admition valves and 2 exaut valves. Has new valves and new retenair but I got lots of smoke with oil at the exaut. So the problem only can be at the valve guide. But the can't identify witch guides are broken. The 2 admition valves are OK, clean. Tne 2 guides of exaut are full of coal. Can you tell me please witch guides I must change?? Many thanks. And cart on with the channel.

Most times the exhaust guides wear out first. You may also have worn out piston rings that are letting oil by. You should get a factory service manual and see what the engine specifications and wear limits are. You may be able to find out on internet. That all I got with what you provided me.

@@TheEZGZ Thanks. I saw a test we can do blocking a part of the guide, install the valve and it must do a pomp sound. I did that and the exhaust guides don't do that sound. Well, thanks my friend. Take care and carry on.
