I'd assume there's actually a *negative* correlation between intelligence and wealth, because if you're wealthy you don't have to improve yourself, things just keep working out for you baring some sort of total failure. Poor people don't have the luxury of not being smart.

Remember how "Don't Fuck With Cats" spends an entire episode detailing how some Facebook group was tracking the dude who was making cat snuff and building them up to be this crack team of independent sleuths... Pure food and Wine was a legitimately great restaurant and was impressive not just by raw and vegan standards but in general. I'd regularly go there (when I could afford it). It was a massive shame and it really sucked when the owner fucking tanked the place with her own personal idiocy and shenanigans.

Maybe but I don't think there's enough momentum in that direction. There would need to be the self-fulfilling cycle of the community calling them out on their shit while they double, triple, quadruple, quintuple down on being in the right while alienating bigger and bigger portions of their audience as it gains notoriety. There was danger of KZbinr derangement escalation after the SBF breakup but it's been calm enough in the meantime.
