lol, it’s just the plastic gears that operates the spindle. Once those gears are replaced, it’ll be good as new.

It is lol, we’ve had it since 2007 and the disc drive started making that weird noise in 2011. It’s the plastic gears that operates the disc spindle, the teeth are worn out causing it to be a noisy little thing.

why did you take off the face plate

I don’t even remember, I was like 12 years old when it came off (back in 2013).
