I was literally about to cry until I seen your video. My son was frantically yelling that water was coming from the wall’s bottom while I was showering. I didn’t know what to do. Things have already been going horribly wrong and I was about to completely breakdown thinking that life was getting worse. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for this video. It saved me from a complete meltdown.

At 7:37 when re-installing the round cover plate, is it always OK to re-use the gasket, or can it be crushed and allow for water to get into the wall? You didn't show or mention it in this video.

I'm not clear. Was there a leak and from what valves? The shower head and the handle? How could you tell it was leaking from there? Did you detect water in both valves? Seems like with that level of flooding you would still need to open it up and dry it out. Mold?

+Brad1237202 it was not murray it was another plumber
@LakeNipissing9 жыл бұрын
+Brad1237202 Maybe they should be schedule 80 to support the weight load of a cage full of shampoo bottles and soap without fracturing. For an eight to ten inch piece of pipe it wouldn't cost all that much more vs. the damage that occurs when they crack at the threads. This only leaked into the basement below... imagine if it was on the second floor above a living room or dining room?
