That's when he went to heihachi and trained under him as his grandson and student. But when heihachi realize that Gene had the devil Gene in him, he tried to kill him, but instead he made the same mistake with Kazuya; he woke the devil Factor up. Ever since then Jin hated everything that was related to the Mishima Clan; is bloodline, the fighting style, the Devil Gene factor in his blood, every single detail. So he tried to put an end to his bloodline, hoping that would happen to him would never again happen to anyone else

OK, gonna go out on a limb and say he throws the fight. He has proven in his battle recaps with the Demon Generals that he can beat them all pretty easily, he feels they are worthy to inherit the world, and he really wants to die.

He fought each general one on one prior. Now he has to face them as a team meaning they can cover for each other's weaknesses. Leo does want to die but he also wants to make sure he leaves behind worthy individuals so he won't throw the fight.

No. It’s because his sole purpose is to save humanity. Once peace is achieved, he’s without purpose. And because of that lack of purpose, he desires for humanity to be under threat so he may have purpose again. He realized how fucked up that is for everyone and wishes to die.

@@casshernsins8333 basically in the episode before this, Eibrad was really trying to make him think about something else than saving humanity a different path but since he is basically a machine built to make peace and has the inner voice keep telling him to protect humanity forever, he dosent know what to do when peace is archvied, He said "im gonna make sure that humanity needs me if he needs to make a conflict himself, his sole reason for living is saving humanity and with age like everything else his program start deteriorate and so before that starts to happen + the talk with eibrad, he decide to find some1 worty of heart while his still sane and can control himself , which is why he joined the demon army in the first place because echidna seemed like some1 who might be worthy. - he basically ended up like Eibrad said. he wants to die before he becomes corrupted and starting wars himself. Also he probaly spend years upon years reflecting and searching for some1 to die to that also was worthy.- that little red imp probaly saved the entire world because he made leo acutally think about the future rather than just the present, imagine if leo never had the talk with him. i imagine leo would be waaay different

After reading the manga, IMO this is the peak content from the story, the twist and how Leo is portrayed sets it apart from most MC. Spoiler: Sadly after that, the story became pretty generic, and Leo has no enigmatic traits anymore unlike before this fight. Just thinking that Leo really should die in this episode, that way the story would have more impact.

I don't remember well but it seems there is an auto response system that prevent any one including himself from killing him. So, he can't suicide and can't willing let others take his heart out without defeating him.

@@gemstony85 never said it was instant, it probably goes how the average stories go, hero fights strong foe, gets his shit kicked in, and then comes back and defeats the same foe without explanation how or indication of growth, except in his case he has one One example of such progression would be Luffy in one piece water 7 arc, everyone gets stomped by CP9, and without any delay they go to Enies Lobby, where Luffy on base only manages to match Blueno's pace, but then goes and manages to keep up with Lucci who's 5 times stronger (but Franky who's stronger than Blueno given he beat Champa, fails to move him even an inch)

Actually he just wants to off himself because being eternal would suck in most circumstances. Alone and driven to near madness he decided that the only way to get taken out was to pretend to be a bad guy. And he couldn't just half ass it. He would need to be violent and hurtful enough to provoke his now friends into finishing him. He falls short of this because it's not what he actually wants. He has mentally trapped himself in a corner with multiple thousands of years of continuity in near solitude. I also think that he is to scared to take himself out. Theoretically he should be able to do it but he doesn't for some reason.. perhaps that reason is his buried desire to live instead.

He isn't scared more like on the brink of insanity. He wants to be killed not because he's immortal, but because he doesn't want to redo the cycle of causing chaos and saving humanity over and over.

this reminds me of Breath of fire lV back in the ps1 , when you succumb to Fou lou and become the pefect being an amalgam of both Ryu and Fou lou , you become an Infini Deity Dragon form and you get to fight your Party , you regenerate 9999 HP each turn and you get a slew of all advanced spells and physical attacks , and even hit 2 or 3 basic attacks in 1 turn , yes this is what it feels like fighting Leo , and they depict this in the most mature and sensible no filter way possible and even the script is perfect , Leo spoke with such authority and Threat here , nothing biased , just pure bliss of doing what must be done , it has an ironically fair vibe to this even though they are up against something too OP but its as if Leo makes them feel atleast that if they want it hard enough they could beat him . absolute masterpiece of an anime .

When we think of god we mostly want to ask what is the meaning of life, but seeing this i'm thankful i don't have to follow blindly 1 purpose and have somehow some sort of free will. It must have been a torture for the MC. Imagine living 3000 years with the same command implanted in his mind to the point where he thought of bringing chaos to give himself a purpose. Death was the only way for him to truly be set free. And yet like all of us he didn't want to die deep inside. This story is really compelling. It would be great if there was a way to save Leo and set him free from his program though
