The dress thing- pretty much how most brides use the bathroom while in their dress. Even ones that aren’t super fluffy can require assistance if they have long trains/veils.

Amen to that girl!! Only time in my life I had so much stuff on under a dress that I truly felt like I lived in historical era & I was so afraid to go to bathroom cause u just don't wanna get any single speck of it dirty so ppl were holding it up off floor & away from toilet area. Was so funny😂

One of my friends was getting married, and at the reception she went to the toilet on her own because she didn't have a huge voluminous skirt. Just before she went to the toilet a mom and her little son went to that toilet (tapas restaurant, historic building, only 1 toilet), and the kid had diarrhea from the looks of it, and there was some on the outside of the toilet. It transferred to the outside front of my friends dress. She sent someone to get me and she was panicking about her poopy dress. I rinsed it off in the sink and then scrubbed my hands really well with soap and water. I pressed the wet fabric with paper towels from the dispenser in the restroom to get most of the water out. Her dress was polyester satin (not a super shiny one though) with lots of beadwork, so it was difficult to tell it was still damp. By the time we moved onto the night party it was dry and we bustled the back of her dress so she could dance the night away.

I mean cmon mud & dirt is just awful enough especially if it's a white dress, but to be actual poop I would have had a full blown panic attack. I'm so glad you were there for her. There's alot of folks in this world that have major issues w even cleaning up their own kids stuff. Cleaning up from a stranger is a no go for them!! What a great, true friend u are❤️

​@jenloveshorror Thank you. I think I was lucky that it came out really easily with the running water, if it didn't I would also be panicking. I'm exactly the kind of person who gets grossed out easily by children's drool, poopy diapers and sticky fingers. (Don't worry, I don't have children). But with the poopy dress situation I told myself not to think about it and just start cleaning. I just picked up the hem of her dress and put it under the sink. She said "woah, you're just going to do that?". I couldn't think of anything else. And thank goodness it wasn't an expensive fabric. I went to fashion school and promised my friends I would help them with their wedding dresses. This friend got a 250eu wedding dress from a website that sold them straight from china. It would have cost nearly 1000eu in a local store. I'm so proud of my friend for not falling for the "wedding tax" scam. I did the alterations on her dress (took it in, removed some tule on the inner skirt, put the beading back on), so I was familiar with the material when I had to wash it. My friend was still panicking so I told her to talk about something unrelated to the dress situation whilst I rinsed. I'm really glad it turned out alright. I still remember it well, she got married on the 2nd of January of 2016, because it was so much cheaper to get married on that date than a few days later. My other good friend got married summer of 2022 and she got her dress from a store that sold prom dresses. She wanted a red dress that wasn't too voluminous, but something she could easily move in. It was made of polyester chiffon, sleeveless and had lots of draped details (grecian robe aesthetic). She just needed some extra length taken in and she wanted the top to show less cleavage so I hand stitched the inside of the bodice so the overlap started a bit higher up. It was freaking hot that day for Dutch standards, 35C. Nearly every wedding I've been to has been during a heat wave. I always sigh when I hear about someone's summer wedding plans.😅

@itsalwayshalloweenexceptwh5118 your just so awesome!! I'm a nurse & can sew up a wound fairly well, but u ask me to sew a dress or even reattach a button & u may as well just go without lol. I always found that funny cause the way to sew is completely different. I applaude u & anyone else that can work on clothing cause that takes such a unique eye!

One thing that the Oak kept forgetting is the fact that up to season 1 or 2 of the boys, it was a secret that parents let their kids get injected with compound V and it was seen as if those powers were godgiven. So it is understandable that parents didn't warn their kids.

I love this channel, absolutely one of my faves!! I will say with Jordan, what’s important to notice is that they are gender fluid, and their powers benefit from that but it’s just who they are and how they always have been (even before powers) like when they pointed out that they used to try on dresses with the girl that their dad was talking about. They use all pronouns I believe but their gender fluidity is definitely who they are as a person and not just about their powers. Just wanted to point that out. 😊❤

Arnold did cry in one of his movies. He cried in Batman and Robin as Mr Freeze. I only know that because I recently rewatched it. Also, I’m not sure if you have noticed, but something different with this show from The Boys is that here, you actually root for the supes. In The Boys, you want to see them get taken out. Whereas here, you want to see them prevail. Also, again, wait until you guys see the cameos that come later on. No spoilers, but they are pretty cool.

Only one of them is the son of a hero. The rest were all given compound V. It just shows the desparation of these parents. And you guy's forgot, it was Kate that put Sam to sleep in the woods three years ago.

Whatshisname (the son of polarity) got injected with V too as a baby, because iirc the guy who created Homelander said that when supes reproduce they just make regular non supe babies. They made Homelander in a lab. The only person who was born a supe is Ryan (Homelander's son in the series). Polarity's son has the same powers as his father because of genetics. When there are multiple generations of supes in the family the kids tend to have similar powers as their parents after they get injected with V. I could be wrong though, but it's what I remember it was explained and hinted at in the boys series. Something I don't think the boys and gen V has given enough attention to is the fact that, at least in the source material, getting injected with V is a complete gamble. They do it to babies because it hurts them less and the results are better. But they could still end up with useless powers or just simply explode and die. Pretty sure Vought makes the parents sign a waiver. The facade that the powers are God given was never going to last. Vought employs hundreds of superheroes in the US. They're injecting thousands of babies. All those parents have to keep it a secret, seems impossible in the long run.

I have a personal theory that Ryan's inborn powers (and possibly Homelander's particularly strong powers) are due to epigenetic changes caused by Compound V. Homelander was created using Soldier Boy's post-V sperm. Infant Homelander was also given V. Homelander then fathered Ryan with a non-Supe. Homelander is the oldest known second-generation Supe. Ryan is the first natural born Supe, and the only third-generation Supe we know of. Gen V shows both first (Marie, Emma, Golden Boy, etc.) and second generation Supes (Andre and at least 1 other character, whose parent hasn't been mentioned at this point in the show).

piggybacking off Oak’s point about how the parents really don’t know just how much these drugs could affect their kids. With Sam, he said himself that he got “more than just powers, he got a broken brain”, which we’ll be able to understand more of as the show goes on, but it’s pretty crazy how there are so many other factors like mental health that could be triggered through the drug

In the comics there is a part where they go into what can happen if the kids don't get cool powers. Some die, some become disabled, some just get fairly useless powers.

@esoterca I agree. Something that also contributes to the vibe of the shows (the boys and Gen V) is that 99% of it is fake. I mean they have all of these people with special powers who could save lots of lives and/or make people's lives better. But there is so little heroism in the show (supes saving people) and even that is mostly fake (for "the brand ", and not because they genuinely care about people). It's an incredibly cynical and sober take of what would happen if a company was able to produce super heroes. They are literally a product. It's great fun to watch, but I'm glad we don't live in that reality.
