Answer for Dave : Eric Kripke, the showrunner has said that Amazon has only ever stopped him doing one thing and that was the Homelander scene jerking off on the roof which was filmed for The Boys season 1 and he asked again for season 2 and was allowed to put it in. He says by season 3, Amazon were like tired parents of a teenager and had given up by the time he told them he wanted to do Herogasm. (I'm not sure why people think Seth Rogen does the storylines, he isn't on the writing team, he's an exec producer, ie just a name to get the money in and get it launched. Evan does the budgeting)

The show makes a good point to show that even though TekKnight is capable of finding the truth, he is corrupt to the core, thus a justice system based on him would be exactly as corrupt.

Have any of you guys watched "Preacher" with Dominic Cooper? It's another series based on a graphic novel (produced by Seth Rogen) that blended insane gore with fantastic storylines and impeccable acting. Ruth Negga was absolutely robbed by never even being nominated for Emmys or Oscars or Nobel Prizes for her role. No spoilers for the rest of "Gen V" but going by the things you've already responded to, you're going to be BLOWN AWAY by where it goes. Can't wait!

Season two has been so disappointing, it’s not good at all. It’s average. The first season was good, like a 7/10, but this one it isn’t. The acting is worse, the cinematography never was that good but in this season is even worse somehow, the choreography and editing is terrible, etc. I would rather for them to watch masterpieces, than mid shows. They should watch True Detective, Mr. Robot, Succession, Fargo, Dark, The Leftovers, The Bear, Sherlock, Barry, Fleabag, Hannibal, Ted Lasso, Severance, etc…

I think what worked with Season 1 was Reacher being this big hulking dude in a small town and blowing everyone away with his size and deduction. But watching all his special investigator buddies in season two is like watching paint dry, except _maybe_ Ngealy. They should totally watch Hannibal, my god. Imagine the commentary.

@@mdtrtwlt Not only that, but there is no threat. They showed how capable these characters are that the fight scenes are pretty pointless on top of the fact that the choreography got so much worse and the editing. The only time I felt a little bit of concern was in episode 7-spoilers-because they started giving O’Donnel father moments and saying that he should get out, so it was pretty predictable that something was going to happen. But outside of that, I can’t take the action scenes seriously, and I just don’t like this season at all. It’s not good written, the acting isn’t that good, the cinematography was never good but it got even worse, etc. And yes, Hannibal is so good; it has one of my favorite cinematography in TV show history.

They just hired the best writers they could get and they cared for the correct castings, not for names. That's how you hold your budget and can deliver a great story aswell as the CGI. Writing compelling stories seems to be exclusive to people with Names in Hollywood, only reason i see for the declining in their projects overall.

when we heard JDM was joining The Boys we all thought he was gonna be Tek Knight since we heard about him in The Boys Season 1 but then the Set Photos came out and we still thought he was Tek Knight working with Billy but then we get introduced to Tek Knight in Gen V and EVERYONE was so confused, turns out JDM was playing another character in the boys called Monkey

By this point you should know that in this universe the reputation of these celebrities is the most important aspect, and it makes total sense, hence why Homelander didn’t killed Billy the first time because Maeve threatened him with the video, etc. pay attention to the shows, buddy.

They are using a lot of supernatural characters in the the boys & Gev V world!!! The guy Rufus actor Alexander Calvert that Marie blew his privates up he is 1 of the 4 biggest actors on supernatural he played Jack on supernatural that was Lucifer's son that was raised by an angel and therefore he was good!! That's all I'll say until you watch it

Meh, Supernatural is mediocre. The acting is not good, neither is the repetitive writing, plot armor, plot holes, mid cinematography, etc. They should watch real masterpieces like True Detective, Mr. Robot, Succession, Fargo, Dark, The Bear, The Leftovers, Sherlock, Barry, Fleabag, Atlanta, Hannibal, Ted Lasso, Severance, etc..

And yes, not everyone is gonna like the same content, as not everyone has knowledge in filmmaking, acting, writing, and has good taste in movies and TV shows. Having a big fanbase doesn't equal quality. Tell me a performance of the show that is ranked and talked about as one of the best performances in a TV show in the TV show industry, I'll wait; tell me when the writing of the show is talked about as one of the best; I'll wait; tell me when the cinematography is talked about as one of the best; I'll wait. Tell me how many Emmys a show with over 300 fucking episodes has won; I'll wait. NONE…Like I said, it's a mediocre show with bad acting, bad and repetitive writing, bad cinematography, etc. Having so many episodes for so many years only proves how bad the writing is if, in order to tell a story, you need over 300 episodes of repetitive storylines. Do you want to know what quality is? Take Succession as an example: only four seasons, 39 episodes, and every year since 2018, they dominated the awards and won every single award; they won on every acting, narrative, and directing award. 19 Emmy's with 39 episodes in only 6 years-now THAT is quality. You want another example? Take The Bear, there are only 2 seasons of 19 episodes that have a runtime of 30 minutes, and the quality of the show is so good that they don't need over 50 episodes that have the runtime of an hour; they already have 10 Emmys; now that is quality. So again, Supernatural is a mediocre show that had a fanbase of girls and women that liked a hot cast. That's it. It's not the first time a mediocre show has a big fanbase for the cast, not because it's a good show. Supernatural is too long and a waste of time; the shows I mentioned are masterpieces and real quality, not that mid-ass show.
