If there is foam/bubbles in the power steering reservoir you might wanna try replacing the o ring on top of the pump. I had the same issue after installing a new turbo inlet, the slightest bump can cause the o ring to stop sealing. Part number is 34439AE020

Ej motors are honestly a very solid engine as long as you know what maintenance is needed to be done when (which can be inconvenient) but is also why people are always shitting on subarus because they want to beat the piss out of them with little to no maintenance

For everyone I help build EJs, if they didn't have a oil/coolant heat exchanger from factory (e.g. 08-14 WRX, SH Forester XT), I go to the local pullapart and swipe an oil cooler from an NA automatic SG Forester. For the non-turbo builds I'll stick a 1/2in barb in the waterpump (turbo builds get the STI 3 port waterpump). For not a lot of $$$ I can drop oil temps by 30+ deg F, greatly increases oil pressure when hot. V8bait ran 9s making 580whp mustang sooooo 9s stock motor Forester???
@RandomlnternetGuy2 жыл бұрын
Cool tip actually. Love pullapart deals like this.

Why are 5th or 6th gear pulls bad for the engines and why do you want to change the oil every 1000-1500 miles when running E85?
@melissamares-salinas94652 жыл бұрын
He's saying the 5th and 6th Gear pools Lug the engine and it just puts excess amount of stress on it and it's just not good it's not good for any car Subaru particularly can take it hard on the rod bearings in the ring lans if done repeatedly it's a lot worse on the car than if you were just to normally do pools in the right gear and you have to change your oil more frequently on the E85 because it contaminates the oil and it's overall just better on everything and helps the motor keep running strong when you're running high power levels
@BaderBuiltRacing2 жыл бұрын
The load it puts on engine, major increase in oil temps, and heat it puts on the cast internals just doesn’t live long term.
@AcuRobbie2 жыл бұрын
This oil change ia the most negligent Ive ever been with a car buts because of a move. Im at 4600miles, oil change will be done tomorrow. Not normal to wait that long. I usually do every 2500. But I baby the car everywhere. Rarely hit boost. I let it idle after getting on it. Let it warm up when its cold. Let it warm up a lot and drive it before hitting boost. And I dont get on it often at all. Maybe once every 2 weeks. Unlike my younger self.
@th4tjosh2 жыл бұрын
how tf does a stock motor make 600, i swear the normal for subis was like 400 and then your pushing it. is there something im missing
@michaellnss2 жыл бұрын
Lol random topic but the last video I had some random dude trying to start shit because I said you can reliably with the correct mods make 500 whp on a stock RA block and the dude was insisting that I said the RA block was a built motor when no I never even said build I only said a type RA block can reliably handle 500hp lol called him out so many times saying obviously a built block it better but for the price and capabilities for a not overly priced block they by all means of your not planning on over 500 whp then the RA isn't a bad choice
