Fun factor, responsiveness, user control and consistency has to be the priority over realism in 2k to have solid online gameplay. It’s why games like COD are still so successful. They prioritize fluidity of movement, shooting and fun factor over straight up mil-sim realism, which ironically is the exact opposite of what 2k seems to be doing now. COD at least try’s to innovate and build upon what they have, where as 2k would rather reinvent the wheel every other year on fundamental core mechanics like shooting, dribbling and defense/the contest system, thus giving us horrible 2ks like 21, 18 and now 25. 2k is slowing the game speed to a crawl, removing all the depth and complexity to the dribbling system that has always taken the most stick skill to be good at within there own game, and removing every ounce of depth and skill expression this franchise once had with every other possession being completely rng and devoid of basketball logic and fun, fluid gameplay. Its baffling. I’m almost always able to find some redeeming qualities about 2ks game play and more specifically dribbling from year to year, but this year I just honestly can’t. There is literally nothing about the gameplay that shines through year. I’m not one to just call the game bad every year either, but this game is literally nba live reincarnated and that franchise died, ironically enough, because of all the reasons I’ve already listed. 2k is going backwards in every area from a gameplay standpoint for the sake of “looking/being realistic” and actively destroying everything that separated 2ks gameplay from every other sports game and I’ll never understand why. This is objectively the worst 2k gameplay since 18 and I never thought we’d get another 2k this bad. Smh

9000 new animations and it’s all weird ish… the ones I hate the most are what I call “brick greens” when you green the jumpshot and the ball bouncing around like you missed and then goes in. It’s like they want you to miss smh

The teleporting is because they won't turn the magnetism down it also causes glitches with dunks passes and dribbling over the years. The illegal screen glitch has been in the game since 2k15 I know for sure. It's not just not super common. Also the on game earnings are also up because stuff like VIP pass at $20 is better than just the 75k VC at $20 and 2K players have been VC heads for awhile I've had bros asking me for cash app so they can hit the stage. Since like 2k15 lol. These numbers also show if 2K makes the game free to play they would make a fuck ton more money than just those 4.5 million in sales because they would have double the users spending in game.

I got 9 steals in one rec game a week ago I almost had a double double with points and steals I have gold glove and interceptor like WTH he had a higher ball handle than my steal rating and I ripped one person like 4 times

2k doesn’t even work online. Since my first game in launch I keep getting an error code saying the gameplay has been prevented and I get a force loss and so does my opponent. It is the most upvoted error on the official 2k discord and there has been no a knowledge of it by the mods and 2k devs. I and many other people keep getting gaslighted for it being our internet by 2k and we all know by now it’s 2k servers because I’ve never had this happen before and I have fast 800+mbps internet speed and I’m not the only one dealing with this issue. Over 300+ losses and about 280-290 of them have been from error codes it’s unplayable and it’s on every console. I’ve reported this since day 1 and still no fix. I had people in discord tell me 2k told them they would get the team on it but that was ages ago. That is word for word and I am getting mad where I want a refund because i bought a game that won’t even let me play it and I was scammed!😡
