I wasn't sure if any animal could be as noisy as Chunk the Groundhog when eating. These guys are next level.

European badgers indeed play important roles in their ecosystems. They are considered ecosystem engineers because their digging activities create burrows that can benefit other species. These burrows can provide shelter for other animals, including smaller mammals, reptiles, and invertebrates. Badgers can also help control populations of certain species. For example, they are known to eat small mammals like rats and mice, which can help regulate their numbers and potentially reduce damage caused by these rodents to crops or other habitats. Furthermore, badgers have been studied for their potential use in areas such as forestry. Their digging activities can improve soil aeration and nutrient cycling, which may have positive impacts on plant growth in forest ecosystems. It's important to note that while badgers have ecological benefits, it is essential to respect their natural behaviors and habitats. Conservation efforts should focus on protecting them in their native environments and ensuring their welfare in any interactions with humans.

Oh wow! So cool!! We don't have badgers in our part of Ontario, Canada. Martens, groundhogs, beavers, you name it but no badgers so I never saw one in the wild. (edit) lol my lady black cat is lying down watching them with attention. Really enjoying herself here! She loves it when raccoons visit our deck (mommy and babies). She rolls on the floor and she's happy to see them and play with them through the window. She seems to enjoy this just as much :)

Эти милые звуки приятного и здорового аппетита совсем не раздражают. Жаль, господин в шикарной шубе сидит к нам спиной и мы не можем видеть его довольного лица.
