Hi, check your Forged DV because you put it the wrong way. Piston bottom needs to go into the boost pipe and vent ports go into intake.

Just got my hands on the same tip. Tbh I'm concerned that it will come short where it connects to the air flow sensor. I already have a silicone tip, which fits perfectly, but this doesn't seem to go as far. I have a head shield the same. Are they all designed this way. I don't fancy cutting it.

greck999 which heat shield are you using? I found the badger 5 sat differently to the old tip I had on. Nothing wrong with having to cut it just do a test fit first and see how it sits.

Redline Revs It's a shield I got off the forums. Stainless Steel. Same shape and design as the ramair. Just not branded. I wonder if its worth disconnecting the maf from the shield and seeing if it fits better. Did you notice any gains.

greck999 as in the video yes gainz to be had from Badger5 tip. Just test fit and cut if need be. It'll be worth it.

Don't forget the Badger5 intake is made to fit the Badger 5 heat shield :) So cross matching parts won't always make for a snug fitment.

Hi, in the UK we have 'right hand drive' vehicles where the driver is sat on the right, in a US car you would likely have 'left hand drive'.

@@truerealityforever sorry I don't know many people with left hand drive vehicles. I remember hearing it could be modified to fit left hand drivel. I would suggest call the number on the Badger5 website and ask for Bill he will be able to advise you.

There is a slight kink at the top which is obviously not a good thing as it will not perform the task at hand. There is a restriction in the way it has been fitted the hose has to keep its shape all the way down not bend at the top otherwise whats the point I have just fitted the v2.2 not the v3 which is what you have. Having a billet adapter is going to give the best results this is the cheaper option not bad by why replace the intake for the second best version v3 in my opinion anyway Badger 5 is the best product by far v2.2 10 bhp gain especially higher in the rev range

Luke Hett can't really use them on the 1.8t engines dont like them and are made for reseculation vales like oem or forge 007 or 008

So what is the benefits from upgrading the turbo intake pipe? Im thinking in 2 years i might get a audi A3 1.8T 2006 - 07. Might look into this or a BOV if there are no major negatives or just keep it standard and only upgrade the lights on it ;).

I doubt this would do sweet fuk all at th end of the day it's restricted by the size of the turbo intake it goes from 80mm back to what looks like about 60mm

I'm not saying Bolt-ons aren't fun and all but at a certain point, you need to put the noob tuner in you to rest. A basic ECU tune with zero bolt-ons will net more HP and TQ then every intake and exhaust bolt-on combined, fact. Your custom ECU tune dictates the bolt-ons to accompany it not the other way around. The only deviation is when you go BT then everything revolves around that 500 HP snail for example. So no matter how much faster your car feels after that new mod the stock ECU will only do but so much with the parameters it has, adding $800 worth of parts to net an ass dyno of it has to be at least 80 HP when in reality you just added 15 HP is ludicrous, tune your car properly and enjoy the ride.
