Been in the Motor Trade Professionally for over 40 years, I do not touch these or go anywhere near them, I know that is a bit controversial but over the years all they have ever done is give me problems, Yes they are super popular with young drivers, but there in lies much of the problem, they are rarely looked after and we lost count of the amount of timing chain and Head Gasket issues with engines misfiring and devoid of any oil or waterl ! .... bits are always broken off, panels scraped and they are again rarely hand washed, polished, or looked after properly, ask any garage worth its salt and they will agree, they are simply a problem waiting to happen, BUT .... that still won't stop people buying them and I get that, but for me Vauxhalls in general = trouble, I've had less problems with Alfa's and that's saying something !

You can do this faster and better. Heat up as you where doing, but use a cloth with ice cold water and lay it on top straight after, the dent will instantly shrink

Using the wrong additive. Wynn's stop smoke is for blue smoke. (Oil) You have a build up of soot and ash

My 9000km 2023 Mazda 3 just started slipping. I never ride it, dump it and I always try rev match when down shifting. Good thing for warranty and I'll be getting it towed to the service centre on Monday, but I wonder why it clonked out like that. Any ideas, anyone? :)

The cetane content can probably be discussed. For Russian Diesel, it is likely that a cetane content of 45 to 47 is usually present. But Swedes can describe it as pure dynamite. This may also be to do with what cetane value the engine is optimized or programmed for. And what RPM your car normally uses. The cetane content is supposed to be the opposite of the octane in petrol. won't the pressure be lower in the cylinder with a higher cetane value? . And can't also other chemical ingredients have effects in terms of performance. I have read about experiments where they have mixed ethanol into diesel and the claim has been that the performance has improved such as the torque. The last test I read about they had a 3-4% admixture of ethanol and that would apparently give the best results. recompression was 19

My 1.9 tdi jetta sounds way better and it's literally just had a backbox delete. Still has the cat etc. Gives the whole "cooo" noise. Yours sounds pretty much much exact same.

I don't know if I should install these. I want them because I don't like the rain dripping off the roof all over my window switches, but part of the reason I open the windows is to give a breeze to the dogs in the boot. Would they stop the breeze reaching the boot?

Thanks this video helped me change the coolant temperature sensor on my Ibiza FR 1.8T the only thing I removed (if I’m correct was the big breather hose from the air filter box) for more space and I only had the 2 pin connector

Hi, my coolant temp sensor has been having issues where it will start leaking at least once a year! The shops just do the same thing (replace coolant temp sensor, o-ring and clip). That works for about 9-12 months. The plastic coolant flange still should be fine since I had it replaced a few years ago. I was going to try to replace the clip with a metal one and also do a new o-ring. Can you let me know how easy it is to get the plug off? It looks like you pushed up with a flathead to get the plug off the sensor. Is that accurate? I know it's held on by the plastic protruding from the side of the sensor you have in your video. Thanks for any info!
