Excellent interview my friend. I think we are all realizing that this time, 40 years ago, will never happen again in our lifetime. Yes, that has passed, but I'm referring to the culture of pop, rock and roll along with the entire entertainment value involved-- the beginning of the MTV era. Just incredible! We were truly blessed to see and witness all of this---- I mean, Quiet Riot kicking Michael Jackson off the Billboard #1 in 83...wow-- Just a fabulous time from 1981-1989. We were so lucky -- Great interview.

You have to be a certain age to understand the power and how revolutionary MTV was. The fact that they just played music 24 hours a day. Those first few years if you had a hit it was on twice an hour. It was such a new concept their just wasn't enough videos to fill out the day.

Jake is my all time fave. I have met many famous musicians and have been disappointed. I met Jake before an RDC show a few years ago. I had driven 7 hours to see him and I yanked my favorite pickup out of my guitar to give him as a gift. I was worried that he might not be too friendly but he was totally humble and made plenty of time to talk to me.

Saw Torien with Ratt at the Whiskey....he was outstanding....later when I heard he was replaced, I thought no way but people kept telling me how much better Warren was. I doubted it till I heard him. Chaisson said it best "Marc was unbelievable but he was caught up in the Eddie thing while Warren was awesome but had started to develop his own unique style"....Once I heard him, I agreed with those people telling me about Warren.

To be clear about the chronology, Marq Torien temporarily replaced Warren who left Ratt briefly circa '82. I saw the Ratt/Torien lineup at Billy Barty's skating rink; Marc had speed & flash but none of Warren's lyrical qualities. Warren returned and the rest is history.

I just read a interview from awhile ago, with George Lynch saying that he joined Ratt after trying out for Ozzy in 1982 while Warren was in Dokken . They saw each other in the halls of the rehearsal spot and talked and decided to rejoin there previous bands . So Maybe this was after Marq had been in Ratt before Stephen made up with Warren not sure ???? Because this was all in 1982.

It's pretty obvious Warren Dimartini took a ton of Guitar lessons more from George Lynch than Jake E Lee. After all Lynch took over Randy Rhoads Guitar Teaching gig after Randy Joined Ozzy . George was in and out of Ratt in the early 80s as well since Juan Cruciet was in Dokken for a time , then joined Ratt . George and Warren sound almost identical in their riff / solo patterns .
@Mysterio-Solar
@Mysterio-Solar Жыл бұрын
@@cheeseguy4998 WRONG . George is About 10 Years older than Warren . George was in Bands called The Boys / XCiter in the 70s . George knew how to play Guitar Before Warren was even playing a Guitar . George and Warren actually swapped places in Ratt and Dokken in the early 80s . Warren was in Dokken , George was in Ratt Briefly to see if their was Chemistry for either guy in opposite bands . Both Guys returned to their bands . Juan Croucier left Dokken to be in Ratt as well . Both bands were sharing the same Recording Studio around 1983 . George was offered a Place in Ratt later , and turned it down . Yes , Warren showed George how to play the Randy Rhoads material . But it was a Two way Street of Educating each other . There's plenty of Musicians / Fans that know Warren sounds a lot like George in Guitar Playing Style . If you listen carefully to Ratt Albums Warren has a lot of Guitar playing temdencies / nuances that George was Famous for . The Jimmy Hendrix Rapid Fire String Sliding Technique with the left hand that George obviously showed Warren how to do . George was known for Minor notes in his solo Runs that Warren does . George was the Trilling / String Bending / Pinch Harmonics Master in the 70s , so he showed Warren how to do that as well . Most to of tbe Ratt Out Of The Cellar Album Solos sound like something George would have came up with .
