Jesus. Absolute banger. Brings back memories. Dancing on a roof in Brighton. This guy jumps from the roof over an alleyway. He made it over but that always scared the shit out of me. What if he hadn't got there. It was a high roof. We woulda just been a load of e'd up kids with a dead mate twatting around on a roof listening to aphex. I'm glad he made it. I still have dreams about that. What a pointless story. I'm boring myself now.....

For real, it’s hard to place a time on music like this. Richard makes music with so much depth, it sounds unreal to think this could have been made decades ago. Sounds like it came out today, the production quality is ABOVE god-tier.

Self thought. Richard never followed music classes i'm aware of. Thats why his music is so good and pure. Nobody told him what or what not to do. His mind is without boundaries. A good lesson to all musicians as far as i am concerned.

Don't shit on formal learning lol. It's your desicion how to use theory you learn from music. With experience, you learn it regardless, however what education for music does is usually just label and explain individual concepts. You only place the roadblocks for yourself.

I haven't read/heard anything about this but wouldn't be surprised if he at least had some initial training- even his parents may have been musica and he may have picked stuff up off them-if you listen to them singing happy birthday to him on drukqs there's obvious knowledge of harmony

This song is very DMT-like for me. The sounds that Richard can make remind me of what I see, feel and hear with DMT. Most specifically the intro noise and the high pitch parts that start at 3:20

The distorted voice is in Russian for some reason - it says "Остановите /Astanavitye/ [...] [...]" Остановите means "stop!" in 2nd person plural

Notice how the drums complement the melody in a very unique way? They go together, instead of the drums doing 'their thing' and the melody doing 'it's thing'. That's how music should be. Beautiful.

yep, his music is very diverse, but this album in particular I'm crazy about, especially this song. Pitcard is equally as good i think. and yes, after listening to 5 of his albums I've come to the conclusion that he's a genius. you might not see it at first, but when you really start to listen to his songs, it's made clear, no doubt about it :)
