It seems when tying the knots on both verticals, you did not pull all the slack off, it is noticeable that the clamps moved after you released the base, thus losing a great deal of tensions on the mains. I would assume those slacks would slowly migrate to the mains near the center thus losing the tension in the sweet spot!

And yet Yonex stringing patterns recommended 2 piece (4 knot) stringing!! 4 Knots doesn't make tension unreliable, unless you cant string properly. On the basis of this video, I'd say this is quality work; its planned, well thought through and methodical.

On the stringing machine..once you've locked the racket on its frame the shaft is then noticeably shaking if moved or touched. So as you're stringing it what happens if you accidentally touched or hit the base of the shaft or the holder or the grip as you're moving/rotating the racket in 360 degree horizontally? Will that 'ruined' or in anyway affect the racket?

This is quality work. No doubt.

Use a cross string(where vertical meets horizontal) Thats all i can share, because the rest is my secret technique. The problem with most knots is that most stringers tie them on a single string grommet which does in fact ruin the grommet and the hole which results in a shorter life time for the racket. I have friends whose rackets broke in 2 years with standard single string knots. I have a customer with a 1996 racket that I strung over 35 times and it is still in prime condition with my knots.
@derockn00
@derockn00 11 жыл бұрын
one more thing to add is that single string knots allows the racket to lose its tension faster.

Pretty good and fast.It will be faster with Ektelon type Two point supports machine and Yonex or any other Double string clamp spring action clamps.The knots are quite extensive, i don't think they needed to be that elaborate.I.G.London

Why would it be faster with the old eketelon crank machine? I have one and I don't like the clamp when clamps the last few mains. Tedious to use.

So why is it that badminton stringers string a racquet where the mains finish at the bottom, and the crosses are done bottom to top, using two piece method. Why not just use one piece??

If i have put the main string in the racket before i put the racket in the maskine so best time for me just under 9min. Iam not proud of that. Iam proud of that i have string 150 racket in 3 days. I do easly 10racket in 3hour no problem. And now guys want videos. I can do when ever i want under 10mins with the main string allready in the racket. To put the string in the racket will take much under 2min.

electric machine so slow..... i can do it in 13 min on a 1992 stringing machine with hand crank and tension spring, 2 knots, any string, any tension, any racket. I was on the Olympic Stringing team for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, and on another stringing team for the 2005 World Cup in Anaheim.

@Kurt007
@Kurt007 8 жыл бұрын
Alan Kakinami yes, Li Ling is from China. But I tried it before is much quicker without strings getting caught and more human geometric. Plus don't need to do the loop thing anymore since they are designed like that. My best time on that machine is 20 mins. Normally needs 23- 25mins.

+Jerry Hellström who the hell is playing a badminton racket with 15kg+? No sane person would ever do that. Besides that, what should be weird about Alans stringing style? Looks pretty normal, but well rounded to me though.

This is rubbish, who ties a 4 knot string. Normally people do it in 2 knot. 4 knot, they can reuse any string if they are long enough. And 4 knots make your tension unreliable.. Lousy but indeed fast
