I think it depends on the surface
@Koozwad
@Koozwad 3 жыл бұрын
@@carmelinemascarenhas2327 Well I think if you touch just about any playing surface hundreds if not thousands of times with a reasonably quick rotational motion then the strings are going to wear out. I play on semi-rubberised floors(I forget the material) which are fairly soft compared to some others.

This video actually helped me learn within a matter of minutes. If you’re playing in a badminton court, don’t worry too much about your racket getting scratched, the floor is smooth. If you’re playing on rougher ground, just don’t do it too aggressively (or too fast). Anyways, Thanks badminton insight :D

If you guys are seriously looking to do this, start off by catching a shuttle mid air. It uses the same flick to pick it up off the floor. You let the wrist lose, glide your racket head across the shuttle, lower it and flick it up to balance it on the head. Do it a few times, get a hang of it and then try the same motion off the floor. And backhand/forehand grip doesn't really matter. Plus racket scratches are not an issue once you are good with the quick wrist flick.

Not only look cool and save your energy. But I highly recommend to pickup shuttles using racket bc it would be safe for your BACK & your HEART, when you are already in the game and your heart beats at a fast rate, you don’t want to bend all the way down (your head lower than your heart). Trust me, I’ve seen so many people have strokes doing that. Understand it and follow it to save your heart and your brain from stroke. Thank you and goodluck to anyone who can see what i mean. ❤
