Thanks Greg and Jenny! I have a video suggestion, I see alot of folks are now steaming badminton shuttles to increase the feathers durability and shuttle lifespan. It's not something that makes sense to me and surely your slowing the speed of the shuttle by adding moisture and therefore weight. Would be great to see it tested across the different brands etc Keep up the great work!

Slow down the serve really helps me today. I was losing 9-16 and realized i should slow down and think why did i lose previous points. Turns out I was pushing my brother backhand too much. it's predictable and he got used to it. I changed my placement to his forehand and won some points. Managed an upset with 21-18

I would say even upper intermediate and even some advanced players sometimes don't use their non-racket arm enough for overhead shots (like not enabling their chest to open up enough). I was studying the overhead swing a lot, there's actually a lot of misconceptions regarding the position of the shuttle contact point. I noticed some players swing their racket too much forward resulting in a very flat and high smash mostly with their arm strength and not using enough rotation/pronation of the arm. This is a common mistake if the player is positioned way behind of the shuttle and the player hits the shuttle too early in front of them (more than the ideal 0.5m in front of the body). It has to be right above their head or at least 0.5 m in front. The positioning matters a lot which goes in hand with their footwork speed. More experienced players develop faster tracking of the shuttle as well as faster movement backwards to the shuttle by taking bigger steps. For the elite players, I would say the one tip is to always try to change pace along with varying shot placements, or do isolation once in a while. The change of pace at the highest level is important whether is changing the pace of footwork or pace of the shots. VA and Kodai are known to play at only 1 pace, but VA makes it up with high quality shots and placements.

Hi guys, love your videos and been watching these for a few years now. I appreciate that it makes it a lot easier to record at home rather than doing it at the courts, but I would recommend watching this video by Tom Scott to make the green screen a little more convincing. The main thing is to match the position of the camera in the original scene, so if you have the camera at a certain height and angle when taking the background image, then match that height and angle when you record yourselves at home. Also maybe when you are taking the background picture, see what distance you would usually stand from the camera and replicate that too. Here's the Tom Scott video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e2arg6mHg8xnprM Once again i am really grateful that you make these videos and they have been a major help to my game. Thank you, and all the best to you too!
