Even just looking at him, he shows so much emotion. Wow.

I dig what he said about Thirst being written in the perspective of a woman. That was my personal observation as well. Thirst is such a great song, I'm so glad he recorded it for the new album.

I kind of feel bad for Dallas because in almost every interview he's in, he has to explain why he left Alexisonfire and why he did what he did. The music industry and its fan-base has become so spoiled with comfort from an individual and band when they take on a direction and stay there. I believe Dallas is more than welcome to go in any direction (and all musicians alike) he or she likes.

very well said... people are so spoiled with bands and they can't accept how people change and the decisions they make... and in same coin, people don't understand how bands change and there sound is different. people these days.... just enjoy music and its beauty.

This whole interview is based on Dallas explaining the meaning behind certain songs on this album. He wrote the song Of Space and Time about leaving Alexisonfire so he talked about leaving Alexisonfire. It wasn't the interviewer making him talk about it, he was freely discussing the reasons he wrote it. Of course musicians should be able to move in any direction they want and Dallas is no exception to that. I don't think it's based off of anyone being spoiled, they are just curious of his reasoning behind it. They want to know how he grew out of the band and the music they were making. There were people (like myself) who grew up listening to Alexisonfire and them breaking up/Dallas leaving was a bit shocking to some people. Of course people got disappointed but I really don't think there were many people who genuinely got mad at Dallas for leaving. I would hope they would want him to do what he wants to do and if he's happier making his own music then that's great. But I don't think you can blame people for wanting an explanation.

Personally I believe he'll get over all this acoustic stuff and want to put AOF back together again. And I can't wait! Not that I don't like the soft acoustic stuff - it's really beautiful. But AOF was just soooo much better. And it just seems like that fire's too hard to put out in someone like Dallas. Come on Dallas!

I understand where you're coming from. But Dallas said in one interview that his start in music came from writing and singing acoustic pieces around coffee shops in Canada. To me I feel there is so much more emotion within his acoustic music, and I feel you can sense more of himself in this music. But not saying you're opinion is wrong, just stating my own.
