Golfaria it looked like you were doing something really weird with the controls. You kept just tapping the power instead of charging up for distance, and kept aiming in just 8 directions instead of finessing to actually aim. Dunno if it was just a mental block or something with your controller, but it made you use up all your strokes barely moving anywhere.

Golfaria gets really fun; it's almost a mini metroidvania with a good sense of humor. Free look and actually aiming in more than 8 directions are *requirements* for it to start to be fun, though. Honestly hope you come back to it once you've seen all 50

hell yeah, more ufo 50 :3 totally with you on golfaria, but i actually really enjoyed warptank; the scrolling is definitely a bit irritating, though. didn’t really vibe with waldorf initially, but i’ll give it another go after seeing you enjoy it so much!

Baertaffy a FTL like game with warhammer 40k inspired lore dropped. VOID WAR. Please try it out. I crave to see a 3-4h gameplay with your game style playing it. Rn only Spearmintz has done a let's play and the devs did a kick ass job with the game. Random final bosses as well. Equipment for crew. Grimdark setting.

8:20 Totally agree on the lack of info. You would've gotten a manual (or readme on shareware disks) that sets up the game's theme and hints at what other mechanics exist.

I really disagree. Most of the games do a really good job of teaching their mechanics as you play, and minimal context is a better representation of the multicart experience. The controls and the info blurb on the menu usually explain what's needed; any more would not suit the games' style. Also, I'd argue that the games' short length makes it more reasonable to experiment while playing. If you don't get something, you mess around until you figure it out. This is an experience many games these days try to sand off with their tutorials and explanations and I think it's really valuable to have games more like this.
