The Kingdoms update for Darkest Dungeon II has arrived introducing a brand new full game mode, new enemies, quirks, items and more! We're also checking out the new Inhuman Bondgage DLC which adds the Abomination character and a brand new region, The Catacombs.
From the developer: "Kingdoms is an entirely new game mode. Featuring a completely reimagined game structure, Kingdoms is a parallel game experience to the original Confessions game mode. Players will be tasked with defending the realm from incursions by all-new enemy-factions. Journey across the land in your stagecoach, upgrade your Inns, complete quests and defeat the final boss."

1:42:26 That's a curious Wayner. According to this, the Kingdoms occur after the Body of Work has been defeated and the Cultists are in disarray, hiding in the mountains. Eldritch spawns of tentacles and horror reduced to a footnote. Very interesting.

Pussy being a derogatory term comes from calling someone a pusillanimous and/or a pussy cat. The first as we saw when Baer asked for the definition and the second because cats are known to be skittish and afraid. It’s just recently, relatively speaking, that it’s associated with female anatomy.

pussilanimous actually predates any use of genetalia to describe courage. it's actually describing materials, specifically a kind of easily tearable fabric, akin to calling someone fragile as lace. the other connotations were added afterwards. mind you, you have a point about the levels of pain, so i tip my hat to your choice of re-framing.

1:13:34 just realized we could see camp skills returning for characters which could be cool to do something with characters in between inns to at least deal with some stress or dieases/health maybe a chance for buffs in the next region

Kiiinda disappointed with Meat Hook's design just being a variation of a normal enemy; I was expecting something more f*cked up like the Flesh. At least they gave it proper boss stage. Nevertheless, congrats on first Kingdoms campaign victory! Also since the Fungus and Crimson Court are coming up next, hope we have somewhat return of the Hag and Countess.

Prolly wouldn't work without adjustment to the game files (mods?) sadly, as the 2 are totally separate game modes & the beastmen only appear in Kingdoms pt 1. If the game modes were interchangeable (which wouldn't work with the available party roster(s) it would be a great idea, however :)

@@snafu2350 Well the slime catacombs appear in kingdoms. Could always give them a chance to appear in creature dens instead of spiders, dogs, and carrion worms. Don't need to have them in their own special region or anything

the first time saw this boss he killed the entire team. than i got reap, mark for death, debuff trinket hearth light, and and blinding gas then was easy
