At a WEF conference, John Kerry said: "people forget greenhouse gasses are pollution". This statement is moronic. The most important greenhouse gas is water vapor, and a very distant second is carbon dioxide. Both are essential for all life on earth and definitely not pollution. Through photosynthesis, CO2, water and sunlight in plants and phytoplankton create the sugars that provide the energy for the entire foodchain. Most high schoolers know this. How in earth do we get stuck with these complete scientificly illiterate morons like Kerry, and Timmermans (EU) in these influential positions? Thanks to the increasing CO2 concentration from 360 to 420 ppm the earth has greened 30% last century according to NASA! That is still a very low concentration, plants like 2000 to 3000 ppm. That was also the level at the time when primates evolved. Over time the long term trend has only been down from 8000ppm 650 million years ago. Most of it ends up as chalk (CaCO3) in calcerous sedimentary rock. We release some of that back by making cement, cooking the CO2 back out, and bringing it back to the circle of life. CO2 also got trapped in the coal layers that are also the source of oil and gas. Of course we also returned some of that back to the circle of life, hence tha massive greening of the earth and ever increased aggriculture production.

I've traveled on business in China. The general population lives as if it is a developing nation. Everything in the mainland cities is coated in coal dust because everything would freeze without coal powerplants. The people who work in their factories are slaves grateful for crappy food including rat meat and noodles, uniforms, and lodgings without heat.
