Big fan of Tom Hanks, my favorite actor of all time. Very likable man and simply magnificent actor. He is the best at making unconventional characters into a human being that you love and relate to. Big, Philadelphia and Forest Gump are my top 3 favorite movies of his and in fact Forest Gump is one of my favorite movies. I remember watching Philadelphia for the first time when I was probably in high school. Too young to fully comprehend the movie but I was memorized by the opera scene. Just wow. That scene alone would win him the Oscar and he did.

Issac Kappy was a conspiracy theorist nut job with clear psychology issues that never got the help he needed. That's why he committed suicide.

Probably the most liked, respected actor in Hollywood. I never get tired of his movies. He was great in Saving Private Ryan, Big, Bridge of Spies, The Money Pit, etc.

That blows my mind that Tom took Gump from the young actor...I wonder why they haven’t lauded that fact more over the years. That kid deserves credit for creating Forrest Gump ha!

I may disagree a agree almost strongly with you that the kid deserves primary credit for Tom's Character Development of Forest Gump. We actors tend to over think at times. In fact we think things to death. We kill it. We take anything that happens organically out of the equation. Which makes acting really complicated and just not fun for me. As Tom Hanks touchdown, the simplest most realest organic thing to do was for him to copy what the boy did so naturally as opposed to them copying each other or meeting somewhere in the middle. The fact that Tom Hanks was clever enough sensible enough and sensitive enough to realize that speaks to his genius. Is simple genius I could call it :-)!

And no mention of The Ladykillers, Tom was beyond himself there. 😂

Don't underestimate the significance of the 4 amazing Toy Story movies. Each were as good as the previous.

Knowing this about him acting like the kid-actor in Forrest Gump I can imagine the kid-actor was also a little uncomfortable doing small talk with the big adult and actor Tom Hanks which is very very imaginable. The interesting thing is that knowing this you see that in the way Tom Hanks played Forrest Gump, like sort of a kid being willing but also a little nervous to talk with grown-ups.

I remember as a child, watching Bosom Buddies, and noticing that Tom seemed to be too large an actor, presence-wise, just for television. It’s the same way I spotted Helen Hunt. I was just a child, but I could see how great he was....even before I knew that was a thing. I was about 10-11. His timing was so good that I just enjoyed watching him act.

I LIKE UR MOVIES UR SKILLS ARE * Symplicity * Make easy what is difficult * In most of ur movies, the principal object is CULTURAL FANATISM * To solve in an easy way= direct to the point * So movie like - Save private ryan - Forest Gump - Terminal - Da Vinci Code - Sully - Cast Away Speaks about SECURITY, denying negation of death, simplification and perfectionism of a culture In a few words: - Cultural Fanatism increase self idealized perfection (Da VInci Code) - A win war cost 80% of the people (280.000 death), but one death is a disonor to reapair/sacrifice (Save) - 1 person is nothing, but 300 mln make a nation (Private Ryan) - A person can have a job whatever ur skills are (Forrest), but can't see his family (Terminal) - So the system works, and people must have no doubt about it (Sully) - But in the end, everybody is alone (Cast Away)
