I love watching Crystal, I was diagnosed with alzheimers awhile ago and I gave up on crochet. Then last December I found Crystal's KZbin channel and she teaches so well that I am able to crochet again. I start Crystal's videos as soon as I get up and watch her until I go to bed.

My great grandma taught me when i was seven. She was very strict with me, too. You did it right or your hand got slapped by a ruler. But you are right, that was the way they were then. When reading books about centuries past, girls learning to do needlework, the teachers were strict. But you were taught whether you wanted to learn or not. But I wanted to learn and she didn't want to teach me as I was left handed. I finally got her to understand that I used my left hand only to eat or write. I would be crocheting with my right hand. I loved it and that was a very long time ago. I am 65 now. Happy crocheting guys!

I found Crystal and You Tube 5 yrs ago during recuperation after having a severe neck surgery. So many of my other crafts such as sewing i coukdnt do because it caused so much upper back and neck pain. I began watching Crystals videos then also found other channels too. Ive been an avid fan ever since. Ive known how to crochet for over 60 yrs now but Crystal and Christa at the Secret Yarnery are my go to gals for tutorials. My favorite item ive made of Crystals is the 1st Sesame Street baby blanket she made. Ive made two of them with plans to make a few more. Crystal guves so much to this community and i adore her and her family plus she donates to pet rescue which i love and was active in until my 7 level neck fusion. Love ya both and your quirky personalities. Thanks Ginger this was fun to watch.

Great interview! Thank you both for sharing! And there was an awesome lack of commercial breaks, an extra bonus. LOL. I love that from the start Mr. Bod was Crystal's biggest cheerleader. I was amazed that the design video was Crystal's most difficult. She came across so calm and totally understandable. Like the duck seemingly swimming serenely across the pond but under the water those feet are paddling furiously. Learning Crystal's love for plants, I'm so glad and thankful she chose a crochet channel rather than a gardening one! Lastly, regarding your funny yarn story, it cracks me up too when a KZbinr says they need to find yarn for a project or giveaway...and they are sitting in front of a wall or walls of yarn. I guess you really do start seeing it as decor rather than inventory. 😊 Oh, and I thought the fish story was great. Need to find that book.

Crystal, I hate to break the bad news to you, but you ARE a "Yarn Enabler"!! It was your room with yarn on every wall that told me, "It's OK to LOVE YARN"!! It's OK to have more yarn on hand to do just one project!! I used to believe that I could or should only buy what I needed at the time. Now, I gleefully jump onto a yarn sale, and looking and smelling my yarn rooms, brings me much comfort. I started my KZbin channel when I was still trucking, I was "NJKatwoman" at the time. But getting off the road and the life of an over the road trucker, finally afforded me the time to try to branch out into my passion of crochet and share my yarn addiction with like minded yarny peeps. I wanted to do this back in the late 90's, but the lighting in the bunk of a truck was not very conducive to filming a good tutorial. I have made many of your patterns, Crystal. You are my "go to girl" when I need a specific project or just some inspiration. I have been a long time follower and fan, and I thank you so much for all of the hard work you do to bring us fantastic content!! Thank you, Ginger!! I really enjoyed your interview with Crystal!! Great job! ❤❤❤
