*" i was recently in The Country Club of Baton Rouge, Louisiana doing a Delivery wondering which one of those homes Master Percy had purchased. In this interview he said he purchased five. DANG! TALK ABOUT GRACE BEING SUFFICIENT. Years ago i used to PRAY for Master Percy to be my Husband, not knowing he was aleeady married. In truth, when i found out he was married, i was at a family gathering. I remember being told he was married, and grabbing onto a fence to hold myself up from passing out, literally. I AM 42 years young (smile). On the other hand, i adore Percy's WORK ETHIC. I always did, AND do. He is a Mogul."*

Love P and I'm a huge no limit fan in my 30's now. But let's be realistic, that style was for that style back then. People today aren't going for that sound same with cash money look what happened? They all pretended to beef and we were more into that then them performing together finally lol it was cool for us old heads but today's music is different.. the style and it's audience it's all out of touch with what we grew up on with more originality.. it is what it is though I still listen to that music to this day ijs

No Limit run was when they were with Priority (1995-2001). It was only a 6-year run. Master P was a genius marketer who saw a window of opportunity , when Tupac passed in 96, that's when the labels growth really took off, because there was a shift in the industry, and a major void, when Death Row began to decline. So over all, No Limit flooded retail with a new release every month for billings, but the majority of thouse releases were ( XXX). Cash Money are truly the kings of the South, and truly has had the biggest and longest-run as a Hip-Hop independent label with quality recording, legit artist, and long term strategy for profit and Longevity. And last thing as the 80/20 split was on the wholesale price, which was $10 at that time. So Priority Records received $2.00, No Limit $8.00 on every CD sale minus any advances issues too No Limit from Priority.

No Limit Records weren't even released by EMI, Priority's distributing label, internationally. They were only available on Import at higher prices. An official UK major label released rap album in the 90s like Nas or Wu-Tang was £12.99 in the UK, a No Limit Record was £17.99 or £18.99 on import. His movie, I Got The Hook Up went straight to video in the UK.

Both Esso and Master P are correct. There's little to no money to make on your catalog due to streaming unless you have a large catalog that you can cash out on like Future, Justin Bieber, Wiz, etc did. Master P is also correct because with how global hip hop ia no due to streaming and the internet you can now tour nonstop and making triple what top rappers made in the alte 90s and early 2000s but you have to grind to make the money. Nelly went diamond with his first album and probably was banking millions a year just off royalties and publishing. Rappers today are not doing that unless you're drake. Rappers today make all their money on touring and doing shows.
