Just mounted this splitter on my 2019 GLI. Looks awesome! First of all, the quality is excellent. For comparison, I had originally ordered the front splitter that ECS Tuning came out with about a month or so ago. It’s less expensive…and there is a reason for that. Just my opinion, but it was crap. I sent it back and ordered this one from Dutch Parts Co. Night and day difference in quality. As for the install, I pretty much did exactly what you did. Honestly, the hardest part was getting the damn bumper cover off. The clips really didn’t want to cooperate. Lol. Otherwise, it was a simple install. The only thing I did differently was that I wrapped the splitter in carbon fiber. It adds a little flare and protection. I am by no means a pro vinyl wrapper, but it turned out really good. I will post pics on Dutch Parts Com’s site for anyone that wants to see what that looks like.

How were you able to unclip the bumper from the mid section?? Im currently trying to take off mine but the deflector is in the way and i cant really get to them

@@FernandoMunoz-cs4kl it’s a pain in the ass. I just took the grill and bumper off as one piece. There are KZbin videos that show how to remove the mk7 GLI bumper. They are pretty good. I wish I could tell you the magic trick, but it was mainly just persistence. I used a long, flat head screwdriver to try and undo the clips and eventually they came disconnected. Humble Mechanic also has several videos where he removes the bumper cover from his Golf R. It’s pretty similar.

what brake system or upgrade is on this gli? i've noticed the OEM brake set up produces way to much brake dust, which makes the wheels dirty in just a few days

I own the Accord that's my buddies GLI. He's on bags but when I had my MK6 GLI I ran H&R Sport Springs and loved them. Have them on my Accord 2.0t now and are great as well. You can reach out to him if you want his ig. Is @BAGGEDPEARL_GLI

I have a gli and just put on some 18 inch neuspeed wheels with pirelli 235’s. I also got some H&R sport springs. It’s gone lower about an inch and a half and doesn’t rub with good fitment.

Taking the bumper off is the only way to gain access. You have to use those lock nuts and wont be able to get your hands behind it to tighten them. I would recommend using the supplied hardware, but if you didn't want to remove your bumper some long screws may work

@@DanVilla7 dang shame, I was just about to order this but no way I’m taking the bumper off my brand new ride, it NEVER goes back on as nicely and tightly once it is taken off, inherent to plastic clips and slotted inserts! Anyways, sweet ride!

@@TheKeepitonandpoppin It's my buddies car and felt the same way about it not fitting the same. But I will say on all the newer cars, they snap back in and everything lines up properly. So it's not really a big deal like in the past.
