Quarantine binge watching this entire series again. Just imagine if I had all the resources to build my own bagged truck.🤔 the addiction and obsession would be greater than my addiction watching this series. 🤣💯💯💯 thank god for youtube and thank god for Jacob 🤙🏾

I’m midway into a Nissan Hardbody build. I’ve wanted to fire up a you tube channel for a long time but always talk myself out of it or I find myself doing something I know should film but get so wrapped up in the actual project that I can’t think about anyone else. Maybe I need someone to film for Me lol. Anyway, love your work man, your vids are exceptional as well. You’ll soon be the standard by which all others are measured. Props and best wishes!
@scrapingpavement2 жыл бұрын
Ya thats the toughest part of how much time is taken away to set a camera up, re film stuff, and then at the end of day edit it all together. So much easier to just build somthing lol, but i will say being able to share to other like minded people is awesome! Also really cool to be able to look back at what you have done over the years. Appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment, means alot to me! Keep on truckin ✌🏼

Great video I wish you would have went into more detail on how you measured for the link towers. That would have been a great help for my build

hell yea i love these i cant wait for episodes to come. could you go into a little more detail on suspension geometry? also you kept saying you have the axle at mid ride but it looks like the axel is touching the frame?
@firstnamelastnameisallowed79436 жыл бұрын
The section where the axle is touching the frame is going to be removed once the step notch or monster notch or whatever you wanna call it is installed. Next episode it will probably become more clear as to what is gonna happen there. It will all make sense then and you will be like "oh I see now" watch, your gunna say that!! Lol
@FabFiend6 жыл бұрын
so he must of measure how much further itll go up and also how much itll go down. either way i look forward to saying" oh i see now" haha
@scrapingpavement6 жыл бұрын
Firstname summed it up perfectly, we will be installing a step notch to allow the axle to travel higher.

Súper cool bro... that’s a good job
@APNFORD5 жыл бұрын
One question... When talking about the side to side movement of the axle, how well does a wishbone top link hold the axle compared to, other systems, like a 4 link with a Watts link? I really like the simplicity if the wishbone systems but I don't want my wheels moving at all and possible touching my quarter panels. (trying to plan out a new system for my truck). Thanks.
@scrapingpavement5 жыл бұрын
If its centered like the one in this video, you should hamdle great. After working on this and learning more, if you do a wishbone they say its a good idea to use a heim joint on the main pivot to reduce stress, and last longer than typical bushing.

I have been watching your bagged hardbody build. I am doing air bags on a chevy luv for the first time and was going to do a wishbone with two mounts on the axle and one up front like your hardbody but cant seem to get a instant center at all cause front mount goes uphill from rear. Is this the advantage to doing one mount on rear and two up front?? Sorry for the newbie questions.. great channel by the way
@scrapingpavement6 жыл бұрын
Hi, so that is one reason I swapped it around easier to get instant center and I'm going to be running bag over axle on this truck so flip flopped was a must. You can run the other direction like the purple truck you'll just have to have bigger axle tabs to get them higher than the front tabs to get your correct instant center.
@firstnamelastnameisallowed79436 жыл бұрын
I know it isn't exactly what most are looking for in a mini truck but how does it do far as "flex" goes with the mounts you are using? Parking lots with a bigger dip or if you want some side to side action going on, does it do fine or you think some heim joints would be needed if you want the side to side action happening more? Glad to see your back at it!! I remember watching the very first video of purple crush while back. Wasn't even named that yet I do believe. Anyway, good job looking forward to the next one!!
@scrapingpavement6 жыл бұрын
So the standard bushings are made to stay fairly flat but do allow some flex, i wouldn't recommend these bushings for doing a lot of side to side action. If the side to side action is what you want i would highly recommend heim joints or johnny joints but they are a lot more cash. Thanks for the support!
