What else looks good, is eliminating the crash bars altogether, eliminate the running boards, and go with forward controls. That’s SUCH a more comfortable ride, and the look is outstanding.

@@LuckysLair I’ve had a lot of buddies jack up a good bike with too many themes going, logos all over the bike, Light bars with visors, Maltese cross mirrors like they’re riding a ‘69 Chopper or something. I like a clean ride... either custom paint job, or blacked out everything look, or chrome a bike out. Forward controls always a must, and I’m not a tall guy, but like stretched out, instead of my boots on running boards underneath me, with my knees alongside the gas tank. Lol. Lower my bikes 1 1/2” -2” in the back, and go ride 5 hundy a day.

Intrigued by this setup. I've been wanting to add some bag guards. Might go this way instead. Couple questions: Can you use the front guard as highway pegs? Looks like you could just put your feet right up there. Do they come with the Santoro stickers on them or did you add those? Not the end of the world as I can just scrape them off but curious. Good video. If end up ordering I'll make sure to give you the credit.

The stickers were on it already, and yes they make nice highway pegs. Boots are a little slippery, but soft soles shoes are okay when using as highway pegs. Thanks for watching and the shout out if you are ordering a set 😎👍

Hi, just asking a question, I'm not trying to be silly or negative because I like your content and appreciate what you show. But I'm wanting to know, how is this crash bar better than the first bar thing that was on it? To me, the other one looked like it looped around and maybe protected the side near the foot boards more. I don't know about them so I could quite well be wrong. Does this new straight bar protect more, or does it protect the same and it's just a visual thing?

I noticed some stunt riders using them or similar products. I figured with the replacement tips if I were drop my bike or have a low speed crash it would be an easy fix. The old bar might be trashed or at best scratched up quite a bit. And hell, I thought they looked cool, and they looked like they'd make a nice highway peg set up on top of all that...which they do. Hope that helps, and thank you for kind words as well.

@@LuckysLair Thanks for the reply. When they were first installed as you were videoing them I thought about the use as highway pegs, but wasn't sure if I could be right. Now you mention the slow crash easier fix, I agree, the original bars might wrap around the engine more and be harder to take off.

Hello new subscriber here, Thanks to you I’m about to order & install the Santoro Fabworx not yo daddy saddlebag guards for my 2020 Streetglide Special I was told I could cut the existing lower saddlebag bar and not replace the bar as you did Is this true ?

Stephen Mucci yes I’ve heard that you can do it that way (cutting them) too. I chose to buy the parts from Harley rather than cut the original bar support bar. Cheaper to do it your way though 👍
