This IS GORGEOUS 😍!!! I would use Caron simply soft gold for most of it then maybe finish it off with a border of autumn red. Both are warm colors and would look stunning. The simply soft has a nice drape and shine, and I would up the size of the hook to a 6mm. Each skein has 315 yards, so 2 of the gold and 1 or 2 skeins of the autumn red.. it will look like fire.. Thank you❤

That is so amazingly beautiful. Every time I see a gorgeous colorway from Hobbi, it turns out to be a 2 weight. I can't even see 2 weight yarn, much less maneuver it, much less keep a consistent tension. I gave up on Hobbi long ago, but sure like to see what others can do with it.

Am learning so much from your videos. I learned to crochet in the early 80’s, then started quilting in the 90’s. My husband had a stroke in 2012 so I started crocheting again in the hospital and rehab. Did not crochet until Now since I am spending a lot of each day watching over, him so I picked up my crochet stuff again. Was only able to do basic stitches. You are teaching me so many new stitches….practicing several of you current example videos. Thank you.

Wow, only 5 movies! For me it was just over 3 weeks. But I did some smaller projects during that time, so about 18 days if I'd only worked on the shawl. I used Yarn Bee Blended Bliss, a #1 wt, 56% cotton, 35% Acrylic, 9% Polyamide. With the 1 weight it was slow going, but so worth it! It is a beautiful lightweight yet comforting shawl with a lovely drape. I'm so pleased with it! It will be a birthday gift for a dear aunt. Thank you soooo much, Crystal! Truly! Sending you a hug over the air waves! :)

I saw an ad on Facebook for the Hobbii Cotton King Sultan and I received it today. I am making this shawl, and learning how to work with the yarn...it's very..."thready", it's not wound like I'm used to. But I like it, I just keep missing a thread, and I have to un-do stitches. I bought the color 01 and it reminds me of the ocean. I'm really happy with the way it's turning out! Thanks for a great tutorial, Crystal.

Hi Crystal, I have made quite a few of your tutorials. I fell in love with this shawl and decided to make it with my Scheepjes Whirl. I know it will be a bit smaller as there is a little less yardage on it but thought I would give it a whirl (lol pun intended). I must say however....I had to start this one over a few times. Not because of your tutorial. It is very clear. I just think this is one is just a little more challenging for me as the yarn is smaller. I am not used to working with a 2 weight. The drape is what has inspired me to try. I am not giving up....just going to get some sleep. Maybe a fresh mind will be better suited to starting this again. Thank you for everything you do. I love you channel!
