Crystal, I thought I wasn’t gonna be able to do this stitch, but you kept saying don’t give up like you say in many of your videos which have kept me going many times and I always end up succeeding. This time I was like oh no I definitely can’t do this one, but I listened to you once again and I’m happy to say I succeeded! I even made a slouchy hat! Got mine finished. Mine always seem to be bigger than yours. I don't wear beanies so not positive. I know now why I don't do cables. They hurt my hands bad but it is a beautiful pattern. Very easy to follow along. Thank you.

I did round 8 about 5 times and just wasn't getting it. Was thinking I'd probably never make this pattern again but since I was so far into it I would go ahead and finish it. I finally realized it was round 7 that was wrong and took it back to round 7 and did that over, then everything went a lot better. By the time I got it done I was thinking it was a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to doing it again in a different color. Thank you.

I’m making this right now! I’ve been crocheting for a long time, but for a lot of reasons I’ve stuck to the fairly easy stitches and projects, so I’m an old beginner. But I WANT to do this cable beanie! So… I got the front post crown pretty easily, but was having frustrating trouble with the cable part (using some stitches twice). When I went back to find cable #1 to FPTC, I just couldn’t see where the post of the “crochet two together” was and then I couldn’t recognize the “top” of the post used for the 6th cable when I was ready to do the next DC two together. My solution: before I crochet two together in front of a cable, I put a stitch marker around the post of the second stitch in the pair. Then, when I count the 6 stitches that will be in the cable, I put another marker in the top of the 6th stitch. It goes so easily and I just remove the markers as I do those stitches and have them ready for the next cable. Maybe some day I’ll be able to just SEE where my next stitch goes, but for now I’m using my “training wheels”. 😊 😂 ❤
