Here I am again, lol, 11 months later. My grandson's collection currently includes Elmo, Cookie, Oscar the Grouch, The Count, and I made Abby Cadabby for his new baby sister born last Feb. and he appropriated that. His mom says he sometimes uses a stand-in for Big Bird so for his birthday Super Grover and Big Bird are getting added to his collection. He gets so much joy from these lovies Crystal, don't know that you'll ever see this, but every time I need to make a new one I come back here for a refresher and I've used these squares for other applications as well, I love the pattern.

I'll be getting some embroidery floss/thread in the same character colors to tack down the character heads to the blanket instead of the fabric glue since this will be a gift for a new baby... Again, great tutorial...

Just ordered the bundle pack for this yarn and can't wait to make this adorable blanket! My daughter's friend just found out they are expecting their first child and this will be my gift to them, along with a knitted and Tunisian crochet blankets. Ending the round with a hdc instead of the ch2 so you can start the next rd right there instead of slipping stitches, is absolutely genius! What a time saver and looks so neat. Thanks Crystal.

I made my grandson the Elmo lovey and he has remained obsessed with it for over a year, I've had to reinforce the head a couple of times. His parents say they get compliments on it all the time. I'm making 3 more for Xmas this year. I wanted to comment and hopefully bump this up into the algorithm because this pattern has been wonderful and Elmo has held up to a lot of use and washes. I absolutely love this blanket and am working on one for my youngest grandson who is now 10 mos old. So I'm adding another set of the SS characters and corresponding colors to enlarge it into a play mat or crib blanket. I'm close to being finished. Will post pics when it's done.

Love this blanket, it so different and it’s cute. I like it when you add baby blankets, because I’m not a poncho or shawl kinda person, I wouldn’t wear them and neither does anyone I know. I made this but added a 2nd set of the Sesame Street character squares and added corresponding colors for a complete 2nd row of squares. It turned out huge but my 14 mo old grandson loves it so much and that's what matters.
