When you showed the swatch I immediately knew what yarn I was going to use to make into a blanket. The yarn has been in a tote for about a year just waiting for the right project. I think this is it!

I was just asked by a neighbor if I'd make her a scarf. I gladly agreed, and came upon this tutorial video. I've decided to use this textured block stitch to make her scarf...as it checks off all the criteria I was looking for. Something simple and easy, but with the appearance of something more complex at the same time. I knew I could just do rows of double crochet, and the neighbor would love it...but, alas, this is perfect, as it is both simple and complex appearing at the same time. Thank you!
