Hi, Crystal! I am teaching myself to crochet again, after I lost 50% of my vision following a hemorrhagic stroke(brain aneurysm). It seems vision is not my only challenge. Short term memory seems to be an issue too. I have decided to go back to the patterns and tutorials of yours that are my favorite. I seem to get it fairly quickly, and I know it will be nice once finished. Thank you for such step by step instructions and repeating things enough times for me to get the sequence of stitches. Some patterns are “easier” than others. I have to watch over, and over, and over. Some I just can’t seem to get, even making notes. Ponchos appear best for me. Hi Crystal, I was looking for the "martha Stewart coming home poncho " a beginners friendly pattern, I think this might work. While martha was incarcerated, she found fellow inmates with crochet skills and was gifted the famous poncho. Her poncho has a scalloped edge rather than fringe, I personally like your fringe. Fingers crossed that I can do this!

Crystal another lovely poncho. I was just at Michaels and they got yarn on clearance for $2.00 and $3.00 a ball. I picked up some, but I am going back for more. I want to make this poncho, they had a very good selection of yarns on clearance I want to use for this poncho, plus they have Easter grab bags on sale, but I forgot to pick any up.

I started the poncho and I’m loving the pattern. The weird thing is my “White Elephant” Mandala yarn looks completely different than yours. Mine has no bright colors. It’s very muted fall colors. It looks nice but I kinda wanted the brighter colors. I guess each dye lot is completely different? Who knows.
