I have posters that were badly repaired with brown paper tape, do you think the Un-do would work on removing that heavy a tape?...great video!

Since we have never tried it on that particular tape with that adhesive we cannot guarantee that it would be effective. However we have no reason to believe that it wouldn't. Un-du works on so many different types of adhesives it would most likely work in your case as well. Glad you like the video. Good luck with your posters! Please feel free to post them on our facebook page when they are repaired!

What kind of gloves and brush are you using. Any specific brands/products you can share?

Would all this be fine on a glossy poster as well?
@BagsUnlimitedRochester4 жыл бұрын
Well, the thing you’ll obviously have to be more cautious of when using any of the erasing techniques, is removing the sheen from the paper. An extremely light pressure would likely need to be used, and that most likely not get the results you were after. The one product that may work well is absorene, though you may want to contact them directly to ask about gloss paper specifically. absorene.com/absorenecleaners.html

The undu and the de-acidification spray shouldn’t interact negatively with the paper. But it’s always best practice to test in an inconspicuous space.

Also, the paper tape should work as well, but with a shiny piece of paper it may be more visible than it would if used on a matte paper.

Do you see how using the tape or repairing in any way would affect the value or the poster or print? Should the poster be left in it's current state? Also I have used lighter fluid (like for Zippo lighter) for years for removing stickers from record album covers.
@BagsUnlimitedRochester3 жыл бұрын
Lighter fluid can be used, but it has the potential to be harmful because of it's composition. Also, the smell. In regards to repair, that is a question that can only be answered by the owner: It depends on the quality of the piece, the value, where it's kept, and other such variables. Repairing something on your own is likely something you'd want to tackle if you think you can do it properly, and not make the situation worse. I don't think there's a blanket rule that says "you must not repair something or it will affect its value one way or the other". Sorry for the ambiguous answer, but it's subjective, we think.

@@BagsUnlimitedRochester Great, thank you! The lighter fluid did stink for a bit, but it's not bad and worked well on album covers or anywhere there was a sticker residue left over like on cd jewel cases, dvd, etc. I never used it though on finer paper products. It evaporates quickly like the example you showed, but I will have to look into this other product now for future use.

my problem is removing ink off my pages do you have something that removes ink because some one wrote on a page in my magazine collection with a felt pen help ?
@BagsUnlimitedRochester2 жыл бұрын
You could definitely try these ink erasers. They require a light tough however or you’ll start to rub into the actual paper material. www.bagsunlimited.com/category/586/ink-erasers

Is the Undo Adhesive remover safe for comic books?
@BagsUnlimitedRochester7 жыл бұрын
As long as you use it correctly it should be safe for the majority of paper products. Please make sure to follow the instructions on the bottle properly. Thanks.
