Very useful tutorial. Pls guide me about the measurements of small, medium and large baskets.(height and diameter)
@BagsbyBento Жыл бұрын
Small: 12 in (30.5 cm) x 7.5 in (19 cm) Medium: 14 in (35.5 cm) x 8.5 in (21.5 cm) Large: 16 in (40.5 cm) x 9.5 in (24 cm)
@AliceKnightHawk Жыл бұрын
Tysvm for being so helpful. I've finally finished w the project and the "large" basket is too small for more than an onion or two. Definitely not worth the sore fingers from the jute. I'd definitely add some finished project measurements
@BagsbyBento Жыл бұрын
The finished measurements are on the pdf pattern but I can certainly add them to the blog as well! Thanks for the feedback. You can increase the size of the basket by making the circle larger in the beginning

Hi - how much cord/jute do you need for each basket? (I’m going shopping!) 🎉
@wendymeyer5259 Жыл бұрын
I love this! I tried to use the Jute but I'm not finding it very easy to work with. It's 4 ply and tends to unwind. How do you prevent that from happening? I really like the rustic look of the jute. The macrame cord is easier but tends to kink. Still quite lovely!
@BagsbyBento Жыл бұрын
You might need better quality jute. I’ve never had a problem with the unwinding. Uline has a giant roll!

Different size hook (15.75mm works well with that size) and your baskets will be a bit bigger!

Can i use 6.5 mm hook?
@BagsbyBento Жыл бұрын
It depends on what material/yarn you’re using. If you’re using 3mm jute or cotton cord then a 6.5 is going to be difficult to work with. If you’re using yarn that works well with 6.5, your baskets are going to be smaller than in the video.

How much jute?
@BagsbyBento Жыл бұрын
Depends on the jute and which basket you’re crocheting! General guidelines: Natural Jute - 3mm; Size 6 super bulky weight; [100% natural jute; 81 yds/ 74m per roll] 4 rolls (for the set; 1 roll for small, 1 for medium, and 2 rolls for the large) *Alternative: Ganxxet

I don't see why you should have to go to a whole different tutorial to do half of the project. Also, when I went to the crochet in the round tutorial, there was no sound and I could not figure out how to turn the sound on. All of the other videos had sound except that one. Really confusing and alot of extra unnecessary work that could have just been put in this video. When I watch a tutorial, it's nice when it's all just there in the video that I clicked on.
@BagsbyBento Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback! I will check on the sound issue. I have another link to the crochet in the round tutorial here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWavnoapiJikf5Y

Annoying and frustrating to have to stop this video and go refer to not one, but two other videos before being able to continue. If you'd taken just a few seconds to show how to do the magic circle and then how to do the first several rows in the round, you'd have provided a nice complete tutorial. I'll go find something else.
