Baguazhang Jiulong: Earth Palm

Jiulong Baguazhang is an internal martial art that specializes in close-quarters combat against multiple opponents. There are no long forms to memorize, no techniques to sort through and choose from. The student learns to apply the principles spontaneously according to the movements of the attackers and dictates of the environment.
In this clip, Dr. Yancy Orchard, a Jiulong Baguazhang instructor from Saskatoon, SK, Canada, moves freely along a narrow pathway in a garden instead of walking the circle in a more traditional fashion. Jiulong Baguazhang adherents regularly train in a variety of environments to become at ease in adverse conditions.
Dr. John Painter is the international head of Jiulong Baguazhang. Dr. Yancy Orchard has studied under Dr. Painter since 1994.
