I wouldn’t worry too much about it, they couldn’t even do the draw properly, you’d have probably got the best peg on the first draw and then lost it…. I’m all for fishery rules but being disqualified for going slightly over 50 pound is ridiculous. People go to enjoy match fishing not be penalised to the hills for not getting their clicking exactly right.

I agree unless you personally weigh every fish it’s going to happen sooner or later.👍

It was me who got disqualified 1lb 3oz over the 50lb limit in one net and weighed 122lb so would have been second overall. Average fish I was catching were between 8-12lb so easy to make a mistake of 1 or 2lb to go over. Actually had 113lb on my clicker so underestimated by 3lb per net. Bad day with result but enjoyed it anyway.
