There are some different ideas on what does Türk mean. 1- Derived from "Türe" which means "appear, derived". 2- Derived from "Türük" modern day Turkish "Tüzük" which means "Law". 3- Derived from "Erk" which means "Power". 4- Derived from "Tür" which means "Race,Class or Specie". We do not have to accept propagandas as solid truth. History could be lived different then Shahmama posted to us. Maybe there were 3 children of Yafes and one of them was "Turk-Terk" which Arabic literature mentioned uh? Rub your brain cells; try not to humiliate you and your nation.

Persians are parents of Iran and Iranian Azeris are it's savior and you are just useless uneducated persons who are trying to make a fake identity and history for themselves, but in real you are nothing but a piece of shit which was sold to Russia because of being useless. So as a result you are not in a right position to determine the relationship between persians and azeris because you are from a country with 20 years history without history and identity. There has been a trend not to use Arabic and Persian words in Turkish after the language reform. Young people today wouldn't say "hakikaten" for example. They'd say "gerçekten". And "mecburiyetindeyim" sounds a bit weird. You can change the words with their equivalents as you did here to translate and they make sense, but they are not really how those sentences are said in Turkish today.
@fairypenguin6286 жыл бұрын
You are wrong, "hakikaten" and "mecburiyetindeyim" are commonly used words in Turkish. Both young and old people use these words frequently, regardless of their ages. None of these sentences sound weird at all, yes you could use their equivalents but it's not necessary. For example, "Bunu size kaç defa söylemek mecburiyetindeyim" would be more polite than it's equivalent "Bunu size kaç defa söylemek zorundayım", use this second equivelant to your boss and see what happens :) The common words that are used less and would probably sound weird in modern Turkish(Turkey's Turkish) are words like tayyare(plane), avrat(woman), bala(child). You hear these words in rural areas of Turkey rather than cities.

It is an extraordinary enjoyable video to me as a Turkey Turkish. We understand almost %80-90 percent Azerbaijani Turkish. The accents are a little bit different. We have some regions that the people on this region speak like Azerbaijani. Well, Azerbaijani is considered as a different language today but it should be called Turkish in my humble opinion. In the comment i saw a lot people argue over it and interestingly everybody is right. Yes we kind of betrayed our words with the language reform (almost nobody think that way). Even the reformists tried to change the word 'word (kelime)' into a newly created word (sözcük). Nowadays I run into a lot of people (specifically young) who doesn't even now what the 'istiklal (independence)' means. But the classify of the language is about the grammer, not words (also the spoken language of Turkey Turkish haven't changed too much). Well, should be respectful what the majority people think. Anyway, in this video I understood all Azerbaijani sentences and understood almost every word. And the accents, how they make sounds are wayyy tooo similar. Thanks for this delicious video. Keep it up. Loves from Turkey who loves his own language as is, with or without loan factors, and the Persian as well.

More or less all countries, from the Chinese borders to Türkiye are a mix of Iranic and Turkic people. In some countries there is an Iranic majority, in others Turkic. Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Türkiye, İran, Azerbaycan... Even India and Pakistan have a historical mix of Arian and Turkic cultures (Babur Shah), as do areas of the Caucasus (Ossetians, Dagestanis, and so on). Kurds are the Iranic cornerstones of modern Turkish society. Azeris are the Turkic cornerstones of modern Iranian society. I don't know if this saying exists in Farsi, but I feel that Iranic and Turkic people are TWO HALVES OF AN APPLE...

xanym - in Ukrainian pani ghahve - in colloquial speech Russian may say kohvii (кохвий) for "coffee" otoo - in Russian utiug qashyk - in Ukrainian koshyk means "small basket" or "tray" choban - in Ukrainian chaban naxar - in Russian nazhra-ti-sia means "to eat up" (and in slang meaning "to get drunk"). Btw, Persian spelling of qashyk - qaashok/qoshok, Tajiki qoshuk - are more similar to Russian kusha-ti "to eat", kusha-niie "a dish". If we create verbal noun for this stem it would be like kushka (sample: lozhiti "to put, to lay" ---> lozhka "spoon") and for example Russian myshka "mouse" = Sanskrit mushak. So you see, our theoretical kushka gives us kushak the same way. So it seems to be originally Indo-European word which passed through Turkic back to IE.

@@MK-rx7vx Pls do me a favour. And stop talking nonsense. There are 40 million Turks in Iran. There is no such thing as "Iranian Azeri". What is this? Iranian Turks is the right term and they are of course Turks and not Indo-Iranic. We have nothing to do with Iranian people like Pashtuns, Afghans, Pakistanis, Tajikis. We are Turks from North East Siberia. Turkic people are light skinned and Iranic people are mostly dark skinned. Its easy to distinguish them from each other.

Turkish and Persian belong to very different language group.comparing them is quite hard. Many of those who live in Azari regions of Iran are not Turks, but Iranians, who speak just Turkish.

How cool is this?! I stumbled on this video after watching a Turkish flick on Netflix, and thinking how similar Turkish sounded to Farsi as spoken by an Iranian friend (to my untrained, non-native ear). And now learned that Azeri is a derivative of Turkish. Loving learning more about the area. Where are you guys based btw? I'm hearing American influence in your English?

IN Turkish Ağabey means 'older brother'. Otağ is Turkish, it means tent. Today we use 'oda' for room. Most likely it comes from the verb 'oturmak' which means 'to sit.' So it means the place where you sit and relax. Oturak which is also Turkish, means chair. Müsabaka is an arabic word. İsm also is an arabic word. Sağlam is not salim or salem. Sağlam means strong in Turkish, it comes from the word 'sağ' which means 'alive'. It is just a coincidence. There is an idiom in Turkish which is 'sağ salim' meaning 'alive and safe'. It is used when people depart or start a long journey. 'go and come alive and safe'. Chakmeh is Turkish, it comes from the verb 'çekmek' meaning ''to pull'. You pull your boots when walking in mud or water. Çekme is the noun form.

In the Syrian dialect we also say اوضة (oda) for room and جزمة (jazma) for boots. We also have خانم (khanum or xanum), and أفندي (afandi) which comes from efendi. As far as I know all of these words are also used in the Egyptian dialect, so the linguistic exchange went both ways, Arabic to Turkish and Turkish to Arabic.
