Your videos have been the most helpful out of all the videos I have watched regarding logistics and planning. Thank you so much. Very informative. And the bottle of scotch! Heck yea!

Man I felt like Richard and Virginia Rich. Except more prepared, watching this video. Also in my head, I was playing Cocomo.

Who are Richard and Virginia Rich? I agree with the Cocomo. :)

I went to a coast guard seminar on overwater flying. if your flight plan shows a life raft, they will search for you for a week. If it shows life jackets they will search for 24 hours. You picked right. Love the details in you videos.
@WingsOverTO Жыл бұрын
I guess they figure if all you have is a life jacket, within 24 hours a shark will have eaten you anyway. 😉 That’s an interesting distinction, I hadn’t heard of that, and it’s really good to know. Thanks!

Thanks! I had to commit a cardinal sim when I put the bottle back under the bar without taking a dram. But what can you do? Besides make up for it later, that is. :)

Very thorough preparation, thanks for sharing ! One question about the first departure leg from Toronto : why did you choose inland near the mountains instead of along the east coastal line ?
@WingsOverTO9 ай бұрын
Thanks! The short answer is weather. I need to cross the mountain range somewhere along that first leg, either north in the adirondacks or further south over the appalachians. At the time I was a VFR pilot only and there were low clouds all across the mountain range til I got further south. So I crossed over West Virginia before making my way further south.
