That second -8 with its crazy crosswind and steep departure knew it wasnt wanted there anymore. Love the DHC aircraft. Loved the video.

Wow, farewell Hotel! I had the pleasure of flying on her just before her retirement from ZSA to NAS on April 17th. Still my favorite type of aircraft, and she will be missed!

I don’t mind the ATRs but they could’ve kept the same colors as the Dash 8s.

I will miss the "Bahamas Flag" livery. The MOT logo over the tail with the minimal line of blue on the belly isn't exciting or identifyable.

André Noreiga and what’s even worse is, Bombardier SOLD the Q400 program! so the Canadian Dash 8 will be no more as they are putting their focus more towards business jets, I guess the future of turboprops lies with ATR and I also miss turboprop flights in the United States, major airlines such as United, American, and Delta have phased out their turboprop fleet(which mainly consisted of Dash 8’s, EMB-120’s, Saab 340’s, ATR’s and Beechcraft 1900D’s) in favor of regional jets(such as the CRJ 100, 200, 700, 900, & 1000 and ERJ 145, 170, 175, 190, & 195), but there still are some small American Airlines that are still using turboprops, which are Horizon(Alaska) which currently operates Q400’s(along with ERJ-175 regional jets), and Silver Airways which is currently in the process of replacing their Saab 340B fleet with ATR 42’s and 72’s, and they will be the first new operator of ATR’s in the US in years

I hate to see these beautiful birds go. So sad. Maybe one day in the future a Dash-8 will again find its way into the Bahamasair fleet! Q400 obviously.
