BFQ was the only Bahamasair ATR i flew on. RIght after it was delivered, i flew to MarshHarbour on her. Sad that she's no longer with Bahamasair

Hey Cameron. Sme way the Dash 8s were replaced with these bad boys, any idea when and what the aging 737-500s will be replaced with?

I think at this point, the most likely alternative to the 500s will be a second hand Next-Gen(700/800).

I think some airbus a320 neo would be a great addition to the Bahamasair fleet.

But is that aircraft the right choice?The majority of Bahamasair's most profitable destinations are well under 500 nautical miles from Nassau or Freeport. And they already face fierce competition on many of those routes. In my opinion Bahamasair should get something more like an E-195-E2 or CS300 series aircraft, perfect for those short routes the carrier mainly does and a good compliment to their modern ATR fleet.

But on the other hand, upgrading from a 737 classic to a 737NG or MAX might be easier for flight crews and maintenance due to the possible commonalities. And also open up new destination opportunities and frequencies.
