One of my grandfathers ... Noel Simard dit lombrette was there. Years later a grandson would voyage west to Manitoba and marry a native woman (one of my grandmothers) my mom was put up for adoption etc .. but some reason as a kid I was always into research end curious .. all my mom Cares about now is connecting to be native since she was raised british(loving mom no resentment to her) we are also part English but that’s another cool story . Anyways when the DNA test final my became a thing and years later I was adult working I decided to try it out. I am from Winnipeg Manitoba. A lot of voyageur from nouvelle France came here and married native women. I am a simard descends .. connected with the native Simard and got family trees and records from the ones who didn’t get adopted out .. we trace back to baie at Paul and prior Noel Simard dit lombrette who came from France came from Puymoyen :) Anyways howdy do

Baie St Paul is a great place to live in but I think it’s best to stay there. I greatly enjoyed the town
