I was curious to try out this Michelin Rated Japanese ramen restaurant in Waikiki. However, it is noted that the Michelin rating was given to the original restaurant in Hokkaido, Japan. This restaurant blossomed into a chain found in other parts of the world such as Vietnam and Thailand.
I read somewhere that the Michelin rating was given for the shio ramen. However, whatever I read was wrong. It was given to the shoyu ramen. BUT! The shio is WINNAHS. I think it would definitely adapt to local taste buds for those that love saimin. Think of it as a luxurious, more flavorful saimin dish.
