It was HIS case. The cops were full of sh!t and the judge needs to know that his place is in the courtroom. This man is within his right to be where he is, doing what he’s doing. He is on public property, singing his prayer with his freedom of speech….that’s a lot of rights to violate. Don’t go there.

You wouldn’t be allowed in the jury room during deliberations. This guy has no self preservation. Definitely a gray area. I lean towards this being first amendment protection. This is one of the few areas where I’d say we need a limitation. The jurors are not government employees, they are deciding people’s fates. They don’t need distractions.

Are you guys kidding me? I don't see this as gray at all - what I see are LEO's doing their best to paint it gray. Think about it. What about hearing a drum beating in the background outside prevents you from having a conversation indoors? The fact that you can be heard does not constitute disturbing the peace or interference with, or obstruction of justice, or any of that convoluted reasoning. If there were thousand of demonstrators outside chanting his name, or if someone sat there and played jazz on a saxophone, within ear-shot of the jurors, do you think they would be out there telling them to be quiet?
