I really love these preparation messages on marriage, it's priceless. This is what we need to hear as young girls and ladies, so we don't waste our years "Dating", instead of preparing for marriage.

I'm not Jewish but do I ever wish I would've known the advice Rabbi Friedman is giving to these ladies. This would've save me so much of wasted time and heartache in my dating years. I love how he tries to instill confidence & strength in these ladies. Ladies this man is giving you the best advice ever. Listen and do what he says you'll never regret it. I'm married for 15 years now. He knows what he is telling you.

24:25 A student says to the Rabbi: "social media is a big thing nowadays" ...she's getting ideas and fantasies about marriage from looking at it...aah, ...soc media is NOT a big thing among those of us who understand what it's about, have wasted too much time on it...It is so obviously superficial overload and damaging to a person's focus in daily life, plus the time-waste factor. I gave up tv-watching for similar reasons years ago. I'm not Hasidic either.

Quite brilliant really . One caveat , who is he ? He is a fellow Jew and brother . and as the Rebe MHM pointed out to me in an letter ., The basis of dating is at its core all about "Ahavat Yisroel" and an experience and actualization of it. Therefore if he or she is not for you ? All the more one has the opportunity of behaving in accord with the sensitivity and reality of Ahavat Yisroel.

I'm not Jewish but this is great advice but I have a couple questions. Who is the Shastra ? (don't know if I spelt that correctly) How and why is this person designated as a Shastra ? Do you get to choose your Shastra ?

@@RRam-en6mq Probably, if that's what he said in the video. Like I said I wasn't sure of the spelling. Can you answer my questions ? It would really help me understand.

@@alexandrakennedy8078 that person acts as an agent between a man and a woman who are looking for a spouse. It’s Jewish tradition to secure the next generation of Jewish families. I’m not Jewish but i have followed Rabbi Friedman lectures on marriage and so I understand it.

Even I marry my husband but I cannot destroy him, was only protect him to stay with his family was die from them. But he wants to continue live once again or real come back from real dead under ground to alive to see his own family. Is it impossible, for me it impossible but I do believe ONLY OUR HEAVENLY FATHER'S can raise real dead( Lazarus) to live once again. Don't mind if he eat with his wife because still protecting them close to me until they stand to protect their own children and grandchildren too. Doesn't matter myself, maybe just born ugliest than my precious sisters. Hmmmmm!
