hi Robbie what is yellow belly like catch in winter. I'm going to the Murray River today. and what is the best bait to use
@robbiefishing2 жыл бұрын
Hi Greame, I find that they slow right down at tgis time of the year. You may catch one or two if you're lucky but I wouldn't be expecting too much. I think thst the further downstream you are the more likely you might be to catch a yella in winter, just because the weather down around Mildure is usually 2 or 3 degrees warmer than it is up around the Albury end.

Isn’t there parts of Australia that there are huge Murray Cod, or is it a different fish that I’m thinking of ? I watched a tv show one time and they were catching fish like them in Australia that were like 3 feet long.
@robbiefishing3 жыл бұрын
Go mate, yep thays these ones. They grow well over 3 feet long, even over 4 feet and over 100lb. My biggest is 98cm, about 3 feet. Those mo syers are more common in other areas. We get a few here, but most are around 60cm or under where I live.
@levihancox1996 Жыл бұрын
Do you ever do night fishing? I've noticed here in Queensland around 7-8 at night. So basically, pitch black, the yellow belly have been biting awesome. Got a 52 cm yellow belly last week. Idk if it's because it's winter atm but night fishing has been great. Day fishing has been very poor in the creek I fish in.

Do you think jamjucks work better than other worms you buy from tackle stores? What cheese did you use and do you think there is a limit for the worm and cheese? Great video mate👍

Hi Henry, I use tasty cheese mate. Jan Juc worms are much fatter and juicier than other worms, and they have very thing and tough skin. Whether they catch more than other worms or not I don't know, but they have certainly been working very well for me.

Thanks Andrew. To be honest mate, they send them to me. They originally sent a punnet to my mail time, so I used them and loved them. Now when I run out I send them an email and they send me more. And to be honest, if I was to buy my worms, I would use Jan Jucs over any other worms. I have absolutely nothing against Nathalia Night Crawlers, or any other worm suppliers, but the Jan Jucs are 3 times the size and 4 tomes as juicy. They're also much stronger and stay on the hook a lot better.
