Bait Fuel ! What happened to it? Is it still a thing?

What happened to the Bait Fuel Hype? Seems to have fallen by the wayside! Have you used it? What were your results?

I use and haven't noticed a difference. It was a big scam based on paid promotions. Mine turned a slight yellow color.

Unfortunately most fishing “stuff” is to catch fishermen more than fish!

i just started using it and havent even got one bite since but still believe it works after all the videos ive watched about how bass use their sense of smell and have yet to see anyone really say they dont think it works either

I’m sure there’s some science behind it. Bass do rely on sense of smell a lot. We shall see!

I’ve gone through two bottles. While I do believe in scents and tastes, imo this product does not perform as well as other products I’ve tried.

I bought a bottle of it last year....I did seem to do better at time's when I put a drop or two on a Chatterbait and Senko. I do not recommend marinating your soft plastics with it though......all the baits stuck together and the Bait Fuel seems like it turned into a while plastic glop. I'll probably finish the bottle but will not buy another one.

I only put a few plastics in a separate bag and put a lil dose in with them. It got kinda icky! Lol

A recent bass study I just watched (performed by scientists/biologists) concluded heavily that bass (and most fish) primary sense for bait and bedding locations are scent more than anything. ALSO, the taste of a bait after they bite it is very important for a solid bite. I know in saltwater a scent can make a huge difference. SO, for me I will always be a believer in a good scent/attractant for fishing.

This is very true! Baits get human and foreign scent on them from us! Covering our scent maybe more important! Who knows!

It’s one of those things I’ve been meaning to order, but kinda forgot about it. Bryan Thrift seems to be sold on it, if it’s good enough for him I think it would be a legit deal. But, time will tell.

I haven’t caught a single fish on it Gogan baits has put more fish in the boat than any other scent out there and Berkeley max scent baits are great also

Haven’t used the bait fuel for a while but looking forward to using this tournament/fishing season. I feel like it works🤷🏼‍♂️ Finished second in one of the tournaments I used it in on a Carolina rigged trick worm. My partner used it on a shakey head, I didn’t and I couldn’t buy a bite.

Im from South Africa and imported a bottle. Cost me R800 ($45). I tried it and did get fish on it, but in the same day got more bites without it.

I'd have to agree.. I bought a bottle and I cant really say it works any better than other scents. I think they all got us to buy at least 1 bottle.. JT kenny was pushing it hard and then he seems to go quiet about it. I do the same thing you do and squirt a few drops in the bags

In my experience with the product - I have not seen an advantage over most conventional scents. The selling point was that having a water based property, it mixes better H2O compounds, thus being better detected by fish. From my college days studying ecosystems - the potential exist for Bait Fuel to work since it would water blend better than an oil based attractant. As we all know - the catch rate will help assess how good the material actually works. My fishing success with it are mixed.

I have fished it hard for almost a year and imo it was all hype I am not gonna say it definitely doesn’t work but I’m also not gonna say it definitely has helped me either. I’m still on the fence about it

I haven’t used it. I don’t use any scents. Personally, I don’t think it works that way. I don’t think fish (or bass, anyway) strike based on scent. If they did, why even use artificial lures? If you’re throwing something out that fish are going to eat (like a Nightcrawler), you can’t give credit to the bait fuel. Now, I might buy some to conduct my own experiment to see if it helps at all. In my opinion, the only true way to know if this helps is to find a spot where the bite is tough, and throw out something that they aren’t taking, maybe a sponge? Then, add the bait fuel to the sponge (?) and if you get bites, then it’s a clear winner. But, spreading this stuff on a bait that catches fish is no way to find out if it works.

You haven't heard anything about it because about four or five or six months ago, the company that makes this garbage paid a bunch of bigger fishing KZbin channels to promote their product which is why quote-unquote everyone was talking about it. That's exactly the reason why I do not trust and do not watch sponsored fishing channels. They're only trying to get you to go spend your hard-earned money on a product that they are being paid to tell you is the next best thing since sliced bread when they haven't even used it themselves.

Agreed! Fishing lures etc… are mostly to catch “fishermen” and $$$. My channel isn’t big or sponsored etc.. I plan on keeping it real and will never succumb to being paid to lie and push products! “Tight lines!”

I am actually a huge fan of that companies soft plastics lines Netbait but I agree I think Baitfuel is all hype and in my experience it’s not what they say it is
