Does anyone know if the bait balls have a depth effect? For example can I go to a 50f deep lake and try to fish for channel catfish while my bait is on top. Channel cats like the match mix, I’m curious how that works since they like the bottom.

That's a really good question. That could be a big deal when it comes to bottom fishing for Sharptooth catfish, carp and Wels that are 150ft down

What's the difference between max drag and strength on a reel? I kinda get max drag, but than what does the reel strength mean?

I haven't paid too much attention to it in the game, as when I first started, things were a lot simpler. They didn't have as many features or options, so it wasn't super important to figure out the game mechanic. I should redo that guide video to the most updated form though. Let me look into this more for you.

@@brobrahfratt a guy on discord said he thinks its the strength of the reeling in power, like how somtimes a fish will be pulling and ull be locked up trying to reel in. Pretty much the pulling strength when reeling in. Kinda makes sense. Tnx for ur answer.

Q: do other anglers see the bait timers? Q: does the bait float, sink or not matter? Does it work for deep jigging?

Other Anglers do not see the timer,=. I imagine that was partly done that way because your bait only affects your fish population. As far as floating or sinking, I have not found that it matters too much. I do not believe it was specified exactly, but people have been using it successfully jigging for Wels catfish in 100ft depths and equally as successful in shallow lakes and ponds.

@@brobrahfratt makes sense. After playing around a bit it does seem to attract fish regardless of depth (I'm deep jigging for lake trout). I'm hoping this is just a strange coincidence, but on three occasions I've had anglers in boats approaching an area that I've hand fed (4 corner box) and the boats/anglers have disappeared .. their boat will phantom back for a minute or so, then disappear again. Weird.
