For gold or better use a 2/0 jig head with a large worm fishing the exact same way, you may want a heavier set up though! I got a diamond on last nights stream and a gold on todays, Also if your interested check out my latest KZbin short about a fishing tournament:)

do you have to jig? i suck at doing added stuff while reeling coz i have a hand disability

if your on PC maybe changing the key bind of "jigging" to something more accessible for you would work? if not i have had some success by letting the jig head sink to the bottom then reel to 10ft off the bottom and then let it sink to 5ft off the bottom then reel back to 10ft off, so it is essentially like jigging but your just bouncing the lure up and down near the bottom, this will work best at lakes that maybe are not as deep and I will let you know that you can do a short cast and just hold jig, no reeling at all just holding jig (as long as the jig head is bouncing up and down) I hope this can maybe help :)

What level would you recommend to start catching the lake trout at?

When I was lvl 18 I caught a 20lb lake trout but it was a fight, so you can be a lower level and try to go for bronze, they are good xp and credits
